“He went to text him and he started the text and then stopped and said he’s not there” that had to be the most heartbreaking statement I’ve ever heard 😭😭😭
Livi Nunes that happened to me with my grandpa in a dream. I saw him in it and thought he was alive and I went to go call him and tell him to come over and I remembered that he was dead
Happens all the time. Have you ever lost anyone? Even an elderly relative? Years later you will still pick up the phone to call or text them. You’ll unfortunately see one day.
Yeah.. sadly it happens. Took over my mother's phone number after she passed. Went to call her one day (probably 6 or so months later) and only got a busy tone. Hung up and waited for her to call back. It took me almost 10 minutes to realize that I wouldn't be getting that call..
@@titomayo294 something similar happened to me. My aunt who was battling cancer came to me to say goodbye. She was sitting at the end of my bed. I woke up screaming!! My mom came running to my room and I told her what happened. She said she was ok that the hospital or my uncle would have called her. Seconds later the phone rang. It was the call we were dreading.
I cannot imagine the feeling Kalebs parents felt when they found out that their son was a survivor. Relief does not began to describe . You are truly blessed . Rest In Peace to all the victims you are not forgotten xx
Alison Moore any idiot knows to wear their seatbelts in today's society.. rough lesson I suppose but none of them had them on despite knowing better, and most of the deaths/injuries resulted from being tossed around the bus and not from the initial impact.. you're the horrible person here for supporting reckless disregard for personal safety.. thousands more will die if your bleeding heart, irresponsible logic is followed. Buckle up, seatbelts are there for a reason
I personally sent a direct message to Kaleb, wishing him and his family the best, and he replyed, he was very gentlemanly and kind. Again best wishes to him, the other survivors, and their families
absolutely no sympathy. 16 people died and all you have to say is "This is why I don't play hockey". Maybe think about what these people are going through. And it was a truck that hit the bus, not a violent hockey accident. Maybe before you say very rude stuff like this, use your brain and double check what your about to say cause what you just said was very rude.
AinsleyWantsYouHome You are right it’s a collision accident. Any sport can cause injury. My daughter hurt her leg in gymnastics an I told her she didn’t stretch her muscles properly. She is still in the program.
I’m from Belgium and just heard of this terrible event. I wish the survivors all the best and am so sad so many young people lost their life. May the court case help all the people who were touched by this accident. Love you all!
What a sweet guy. So sad still for all those that were lost in that accident. I also even feel horrible for the truck driver. I saw his recent interview and to have all those young deaths on your shoulders must be so hard. So hard for everyone involved. Rip. 😔
The brain has a way of hiding extremely traumatic events, be careful in the days, months, and years moving forward. PTS is very hard to deal with and recognize personally. Rely on your support system, and seek therapy. It's been a rough road for me and I have lost many relationships, and weeks of sleep. The hardest thing for me moving forward from my experiences was reconciling how I felt like less of a man, and whether or not I could do more. The words that came forth were: worthless, impotent, failure. Which made it even harder to admit and humble myself and my ego. I am currently undergoing EMDR it seems to help but I have only begun. I am sorry for the tragedy you have suffered through as well as the loss of your brothers on the ice. I wish God Speed.
Really think you are an amazing guy... You lost ton of friends and almost died too and your humble in such a bad time.your a soldier if i was able to meet you i would shake your hand amd tell you how brave and inspiring you are.plz stay strong youll have good n bad days but you will get brtter
i lost one good friend recently and it was so tough, he lost several its sad to see that i hope he gets to play again someday im not sure what his injurys are but i pray hes not paralized
All the love and support for this young man and his teammates. What a thing to go through. I have a hard time comprehending what happened and I didn't have any relationship with anyone on the Bronco Bus. How the survivors of the crash and their families have handled this with such grace and humility can only be the work of God. I will send prayers up every day for the rest of my life for these people & trust that God will hear my prayers to keep them safe and loved.
I'm not a professional, but I think our brains react to some tragedies because it's too painful for us to remember. I lost my mom last year. At her funeral I vaguely remember talking to my brother but that's all I remember. I have no memories of service. I have no memories of going to her interment. I don't even remember where she is interred. I don't ask because it would be too final. My lay theory is that we don't remember some things because i's too painful.
You are an amazing young man Kaleb! Many others can learn from your positivity and outstanding book. We all love you so much and pray for a full recovery as you move ahead in life❤❤❤
Calgary Stampede has the worst reputation of and rodeo circuit for animal abuse, you really want these courageous survivors to be linked to that? Pick any other rodeo but that one
@@vandemanferretstasmania.ni9576 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Those animals are treated better than most humans are and they are bred for rodeo. I hope you do realize that cows have very strong necks so it's not like they are out to hurt these animals.
Assassin'sCreedFangirl12 I rodeo myself and I own a Brahman stud so I’m more than well aware of how the stock is treated. Calgary is a blight on rodeos in the circuit. The injury rate at Calgary is appalling and so is how they treat their stock. Rodeo stock are athletes in their own right and should be treated as such however Calgary Stampede has shown year after year that they have no care with their stock. So I’m not ignorant of rough stock if that’s what you think
Crazy one second cracking jokes the next your literally standing before God without a body to go back to. One thing's for certain we are all heading to the same place some sooner than others. God Bless this young gun and the families that can't forget .
You gotta think if someone ate 10 seconds faster or slower or they ask a question or didn’t ask any questions or did every thing faster or slower they might still be alive
Sometimes people dislike a video because they don't like the what had happened. not necessary that they dislike the actual video. I have hit dislike on some because I don't like that that had happened at all.. nothing to do with the people who made the video.. just another side of the fence for you to see from...
I can actually relate the the incident with the Humboldt Broncos crash in grade two I was taught by one of the victims mother thankfully he survived but it just shows how small the world is Don’t say it’s not true cause it’s true I swear on my life it is
WHO IS The BLOODY GENIUS responsible for designing this intersection?? 1. Speed Limit of 100 on one side 2. Stop Sign for the other Road. Should the Long Tractor Trailer wait for 24 hours, while traffic zips past at 100 Km?? This is a disaster zone. This should be - either or - lower speed limit, stop or red lights at BOTH ENDS.
He may never remember. I had a horrific bike accident, when I was 15 or so. I still don't remember. Every once in a while I have bad dreams, that I don't remember. Hopefully, he will never remember.
I’m late but I’m bawling my eyes out but yeah......., but to the 79 people who disliked this? Wow. How disrespectful. And to survivors & family of anyone in the accident: stay strong. you got this:)
Nick Shumlanski was actually able to call his father a couple of minutes after the crash. Depends on where the phone was and how it impacted on anything. Plus, if he got a new one, it might have migrated all his contacts over. But yeah, it can be odd, what gets destroyed and what stays intact in something like this.
Why are there no charges against the truck driver for blowing through a stop sign? Where i live in Canada it is against the law to go through a stop sign let alone cause an accident that killed 16 people. There was an eye witness in another vehicle to the whole accident who saw it all unfold in front of her eyes. It can be determined exactly what caused every plane crash by the experts and yet they can not detemine what happened in this accident when there are living eyewitnesses on the ground and in the bus and truck that saw it all unfold. This seems like another coverup. I think the families of the innocent victims deserve better "justice" than this.
It was an immigrant or illegal, government and media work together to censor their crimes and have been for decades. At this point its been so long with no information i am going to assume the diver is in hiding or fled the country.,
For one they haven't finished investigating and will take forever but result probably will not change. # 2 you don't think the driver feels absolutely horrific whether he is at fault or not, that SIXTEEN people were killed and last he is going through the post accident mostly alone and trying to cope with it some way.
chelsm90 Yes the truck driver probably would feel terrible that sixteen people were killed who wouldn't have been killed if he had stopped at the stop sign just like the lady going eastbound on the same road the truck was on was stopped at the stop sign waiting for the bus to pass. The stop sign is there for a reason. ie to not have accidents like this happen. I ask also how the family and friends of the young hockey players feel knowing they will never see these young people alive again. There are consequences for breaking the law. The bus driver was not at fault because he had the right of way at that intersection. It is beyond me that thet can't figure out who is at fault. If the truck had a mechanical failure they should have been able to figure that out by now. There are 16+ innocent victims that didn't need to die or get hurt for life if the truck driver had obeyed the law other than if there was a mechanical failure in the truck.
The people giving thumbs down probably knew the guy before the accident. Have you ever been to small town saskatchewan? If you dont fit in you are not really welcome.
