We were in Port Canaveral, FL excited to get on our cruise. We felt the sadness even down there. We saw hockey sticks and green & yellow ribbons on doorsteps on our way to the ship. Once people on board found out we were from Canada they asked us what happened. Of course we didn't know much detail. We saw hand drawn pictures of hockey sticks taped to cabin doors on the ship. It was definitely felt all over.
This touches home for me. I grew up on a bus, my brothers hockey team was always travelling and I was always there with them. When I heard the news I was speechless and immediately felt bad for the community and friends/family. I still cry watching these types of videos I pray to god this never happens again.
My school wore jerseys and green. We took a moment of silence for the players who lost their lives. Everyone around my city had their sticks out. I went to Banff this summer and a bunch of ppl still had their sticks out in support💚💛
Unbelievably sad. Can’t stop crying about these beautiful people/boys going through this. 🇨🇦 Those boys were the same ages as my niece and nephew. Horrific is putting it mild. Humboldt Forever! 🥅🏒
So did they ever charge the driver? Of the bus or semi? Or their company.... gotta keep moving on that's Saskatchewan 🇨🇦🚜🇨🇦🚜 thoughts and prayers as always 👍 This is why were Saskatchewan strong 💪👍🇨🇦🚜🇨🇦🚜 a harsh environment and determined people make for a strong heart and strong nation.
I hate to be "that person" but, while it was a game five, had it been played it would NOT have decided the series UNLESS Nipawin won. They were up 3-1 but it was a best of 7. Humboldt had an opportunity (until the crash of course) to win 3 straight and take the series.
