I have fixed 3 “water damaged” switches oled last week. All due to humidity damage. I even had a mod chip job on a 3 week old oled model and it also had the sticker showing “water damage”. All from Florida and it was around 110-115 deg over here not too long ago. I’ve never had jobs like these where humidity was the cause until this year.

Possible oxidation on the chip pads causing this issue?? Have a go at the pads with a fiberglass pencil. Then try to tin them and see what happens.

Use an ink pen eraser on the IC pads then isopropyl. It's much faster. Old school method.

I think that's what happens when you play games on the toilet and forgetting it in the bathroom every now and then and facing some condensation :)

There wasn't so much liquid damage but it made a nice fix.

M92 is the same for regular and OLED version ? Have you tried to use tweezers with white ceramic tips ?

From my experience, I've sent in 2 Switches to Nintendo for repair. Nintendo quoted me a $0 replacement fee if the device was under warranty (which I knew they were not) or a $99 repair/replacement fee if the devices needed either or. Nintendo repaired one device that needed slight work done, while the other was not repaired (too far gone perhaps) and they offered me a replacement instead. I don't believe that Nintendo does the repair work in-house in Washington, but rather they outsource the work to another trusted 3rd party in America (my shipping boxes didn't have the in-house Nintendo of America address, but rather an address from California.) That's just my take on my experience, in conjunction with the others here in the comments.

nintendo will not repair logic board s they just swap it if there is issues pointing to it

As far as I’m aware, they swap out for a fixed price. It’s possible all the damaged units get sent back to China where they are repaired/used for parts for more refurbed units. It’s possible that the refurbed units are sent out directly from China to customers in the UK as that would actually be a lot cheaper and probably more efficient!

Is that a "multimeter" which makes that beep sounds?

Nintendo do offer fee for a reconditioned unit, not sure what the cost is for an OLED
