Man guys, its been so fun bringing the fictional nations of Dhimar and Paran to life in DCS World, I can't believe how many of you have joined us an contributed to the campaign with skins, story ideas and side missions! If you'd like to join us you can find us on discord here! discord.gg/M36AKsutAU I went a little overboard with this mission that is for sure! Literally Hundreds of Tanks, APCs and IFVs clashed over the southern Bekaa Valley and I was really worried how the server would even handle this many units! But Fox 3 MS's severs handled it like a champ! I cannot say enough good things about Fox 3 so Check em out! www.fox3ms.com/
Man....what an awesome vid Spud!!! These vids defiantly help through my night shift at the hospital. Here is hoping for some A-10 action in the future. :)
Elk 1-2 and 1-3 here( we got our callsings mixed the first half) gotta say this was a blast of a mission and the campaing has been really fun thus far! Always a pleasure to fly with you!
I can't believe I sat and watched this entire mission from start to finish, this was an awesome mission with some pretty talented pilots! .. great job on this one Spud!! and well done to all the pilots involved in the mission!
just an idea that might make looking at your roll call kneeboards a little easier, would be to use alphabetic order of the call signs, or to arrange the callsigns by the mission set. that way you it should be easier for everyone using the kneeboard to find who or what they are looking for. im blown away with your FAC-A skills!
These large scale missions are always like watching a Master Class in DCS. Right now the Apache is my airframe of choice and it's so nice to see it all in real action. Right now I am at that stage where I am just trying to get all the needed commands bound correctly and take off and land smoothly. I haven't even fired a Hellfire in anger yet. I am attacking trucks lined up in a neat row. I do have the cannon to plink at targets. But videos like these are what really get my blood movin' and keeps driving me forward. Nice editing and video Spud. On a side note, watching a video from the Apache I keep turning my head to slew my Track IR around like I am in game! It's very disconcerting!
This video is so interesting. Can create simulations of battles and run it over and over. This looks like something the Army should really look into for training newbies first before running the real training to save money. Most of the time in training it’s just getting used to the communication methods and how people are moving. This game is better then any military simulator I have seen for training groups of soldiers.
Very cool. LOVE the briefing notes - obviously a ton of work put into a labor of love. :) Do you ever have OpFor players flying for the bad guys? Looks really fun but I'm pretty much exclusively a RedFor flyer these days.
Hey man thanks for the support! I sometimes do, however its REALLY hard to have a mission go correctly with human red players, these missions are a lot more scripted behind the scenes and human players tend to break things haha! I LOVE it when it works and it sucks when it doesn't work LOL. Usually the biggest issue is we have such a large range of player skill and knowledge levels that Red Players can overpower the blue side very easily and then the mission is dead in the water.
what a blast to watch that mission with so many players involved. That shows what DCS is capable off when a lot experienced players are involved. Love to join such mission but im not trained enough on any module except the A10 maybe to join. Nice Work Spud in coordinating your flight.
Hey man I dont know a lot about Laptops, but for DCS and other SIM titles like Train Sims, or iRacing or MSFS2020, they are more CPU bound than GPU bound so you want a really good CPU and you can save a little on the GPU, for DCS especially multiplayer you're going to want AT LEAST 32 GB of RAM, I prefer 64 GB of RAM!
I'd recommend a desktop to play any flight sim, that way you can play on a SAMSUNG 49” Odyssey G9 Gaming Monitor, or similar. Unless you have a powerful enough laptop to play in VR.
Hello all, I have a small question. How can I edit the F10 map like at 3:23? How can I make such single mark or dash lines in the map? Is it possible in the mission editor? Because these are not trigger zones, right?
