The problem mainly is not the families of the children at home but it is the school cafeterias serving food either not nutritious enough or simply of an unsatisfactory quantity. I went to a Catholic school which served extremely minimal portions for years and I am sure there were many other schools, both public and private, that did the same thing.
How on earth could any parent let their kids go hungry? I know most jobs pay very low wages but find a second job if that's what it takes to feed your kids.
My parents made decent money and still let me go hungry. 😆 My mom was too drunk to make my brother and me lunch and my dad was too cheap to give us $1.50 to eat at school, so I was hungry every day and now I watch videos like this and feel the pain of my elementary school days.
I hate to go to school with a home lunch because I don't like my sandwich and my parents can't do nothing about it and I got skinner and if I have home lunch I only have sandwich, yogurt and juice 😦
