With fewer tourists visiting Lopburi, Thailand, during the coronavirus pandemic, macaque monkeys have started to scrounge for food and have even resorted to stealing. Locals say monkeys have mostly been eating sugar and putting their energy into their sex lives. There is a sterilization campaign to help combat the growing monkey population. NBC’s Janis Mackey Frayer reports for Weekend TODAY.

When you have a choice to eat bugs in a wild nature risking your life hiding from predators, or eat hooman junk food and be safe, what will you choose? Yep, they think the same way!))) Thats why its bad to feed wild animals. They will get used to it. Here you have it, stupid tourists giving away food free of charge, just for fun. Safe and free food! Thats like me throwing you into wilderness and expecting you to muster through it with natural instincts. Animals are taught by their parents and suroundings. Wild animals have gone through many trails in their lives to make to adulthood. These monkeys you see in thailand are not them. They are born and raised off human co-existences. What's the human part is gone, the monkeys way of life is over too.

@@gogohi978 It's a human weakness. You see the people feed the monkeys while there are no tourists to feed them.. Wrong, let them find their own food. It will make them stronger. I'm sure they're rats, squirrels, etc around that monkeys ate before tourists started bringing them food. It's the same in my neighborhood. The raccoons used to feed off of the rats before people started feeding them. Now, they're addicted to eating our food and watch the rats run by without even looking at it.

How many of you people actually realize that there are well over 10,000 monkeys in this province of Lopburi. The sterilization you are watching is in that province. Now how many of you realize that less than 500 monkeys were sterilized. This was nothing more than propaganda to placate the people of that province and make the suckers on youtube believe that something was being done. There are 77 provinces in Thailand. Think of the hundreds of thousands if not millions of monkeys that are there. Do you seriously think sterilizing less than 500 monkeys is a solution? Are you that naive?

In Europe we have problems with overpopulation of pigeons. In Thai hey have problems with overpopulation of monkey’s. Actually, Thai people are still very lucky that monkey’s 🐒 don’t fly 😅.

I was in northern Thailand for a month....almost went there...but I don't like domesticated racoons taking my stuff and thought it would become annoying there with the monkeys. Bathed with elephants instead.

I think she meant to put them in a cage and release them back into the wild. Over time they will learn they aren’t welcome in the city anymore. The monkeys that persists will have to be dealt with in other ways.

My grand daughter would be trying to catch everyone and taking them home . It's sad that they are hungry. It doesn't surprise me after all that's going on around the world. With all those monkeys running around eating all that sugar it's like people drinking too much caffeine and I guess it's monkey see and monkey 🐵 do time. Repentance is asking God to forgive you for a certain sin or sins and then not doing the sin anymore. Ask God to help you not do the sin anymore as we cannot do it on our own. He will always help you if you ask Him. If you have not been saved and you are willing to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then just ask him to come into your life and forgive you of all prior sins . Then ask him to be your Lord and Savior.❤️

Faith involves repentance, true sorrow turning from sin and turning to God through Jesus Christ. Faith includes obedience to Jesus Christ and His Word as a way of life inspired by our faith.
