Pairing a Hampton Bay remote when there's no DIP switches or Learn button

IMPORTANT: If the tiny red light on your remote is flashing when you use it; replace the battery before you try to program the remote. I wasted so much time trying to program a remote whose battery was too weak to transmit to the fan. The red light on the remote should be ON STEADY when you press the button. Tnx for the video

Thanks for your video! I tore my fan apart thinking I could rewire it to the switches. (I replaced a non remote fan just the other week) the remote wiring threw me off big time. Pairing the remote seemed to be the issue all along. I appreciate you posting this!

THANK YOU! So simple and your instructions were spot-on! I searched and searched and could not find any instructions for this. All the instructions were for other remotes with these buttons you mentioned. Even the replacement remote I ordered from the maker came with no instructions.

This video saved my a$$ thanks for posting. My harbor breeze remote had stood working but the remote battery was ok. Flipping the breakr and pressing for 5 seconds did the trick for me

🫵 YOU DA MAN. Thank you, I was starting to go crazy. I have 3 of these fans and all of a sudden, 1 remote was working two fans, and the other remote did nothing. New batteries, and the same problem 😱 Switching remotes, swapping batteries, nothing worked. To ice the cake, everyone (the internet) as well as the knucklehead from Lowes said to change the dip switch settings. 🤷

i have a Harbor Breeze Beach Creek ceiling fan, I cannot pair The remote is paired to the fan, but the light stays on. I followed the instructions by turning the power on and holding the "0" button down for the recommended amount of time, but the light never dimmed.

I have a special problem in that I need to UNPAIR some fans. I have 2 of the same Harbor Breeze fans (same remote) in the same room. When I installed them, they were set to 2 different remotes. At first I didn't like that, but then I began to enjoy being able to control each fan/light separately. Anyways, the in-laws came over to my house and now both fans/lights operate with just 1 remote. I want to be able to unpair them back to separate remotes again. Any suggestions on that?

Were can i get a generic control for this fan? It seem out if this world to need to install a device into the fan if its got a remote already built in

I lost my Harbor Breeze remote and want to replace it. Where can I find this exact remote. Seems really difficult to find.

If this doesn't work, it might be the battery. Even if the remote lights up when pressing buttons, the battery might still be too old. Try swapping the battery out with a remote that is still working.

I have that remote. My landlord installed the fan so it has 2 on off switches on either side of the room for the light. It has 1 separate switch for just the fan. Could this make it so the remote will not work? I’ve tried shutting both fan and light off at same time and I tried the circuit box off on. It still will not pair. Any thoughts?

My Harbor Breeze Mazon fan Model #MZ44BNK3LR was working great about 3 days ago. The light quit and then the fan stopped working. I reset the breaker and tried to reset the remote, but to no avail. The light still does not work and neither does the fan. Any suggestions? The fan is about 6 months old.

Your video title says Hampton Bay but you say Harbor Breeze. Which one is it and does it even matter?

I have a different problem with this same remote and hoping maybe someone has an answer for me. When I replace the battery in the remote the LED is ALWAYS on, indicating that it's sending a continuous signal to the fan which overrides any button press (which all feel normal, nothing is "stuck") and burns out the battery. Any idea how to make it stop doing that?

Saved me from a very hot room

So my fan is stuck with the light on and on probably the next to the fast blade speed. I tried this and it did not work. The red light is staying on and steady but I guess I will buy new battery tomorrow?

I still feel like this stupid ass fan has a poor connection to the remote. We have two identical fans, and we have to press the on button 1-8 times before getting some kind of response
