After creating this video I discovered an easier way to get a badger pelt. See my below guide for how to find a 100% spawn location for a badger. 100% Spawn PERFECT BADGER PELT - Idiots Guide to RDR2 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iaVbO7wn31A.html
So glad you started speaking in your videos! I’m over 50 and just getting into gaming. So glad I picked this game to start with! You have been immensely helpful. Thank you!
Hi Rhonda, thank you so much for this, it's nice to hear from someone of a similar age. RDR2 has spoiled me now, still waiting for a game to wow me like this one done. Good luck with the game come back and let me know when you finish :)
Yaaasssss!!!! It's September 2024, i'm on PC, and the money glitch in the basement still works! woohooo!!! Thank you!!! Sure beats riding around stealing stagecoaches... THANKS A MILLION!!!!
Thank you so much for the help! I love the written part so I can make a checklist to remember 😊 Great job & look forward to keeping up with your channel! Cheers!
There are so many guns and things like bait and lure that are still locked for me, please advise how i can unlock these, do i just have to advance further in the story or what?…
Absolutely brilliant video! So well edited and clearly narrated. I’m a bit of a late comer to RDR2 so this has been a fantastic watch. Keep up the great work!
@@Jules-GamerGrandma still on my first play through and am currently only on chapter 3. I’m absolutely loving it though. Red Dead isn’t a game, it’s a work of art!
@@Jules-GamerGrandma That’s exactly how I was for The Witcher 3. Absolutely adore everything about that game! The look, feel, music, atmosphere just transported me to another place. I have to admit though. Every single time I load up Red Dead, the stunning attention to detail just blows me away! It’s a masterpiece
@@Jules-GamerGrandma gave your channel and your helpful video a little shout out today during my Red Dead 2 live stream. Feel free to go check it out and subscribe 👍🏻 thanks again.
Hello. I’m just discovering the game and playing through rd2 a second time. I’m staring to hunt and follow your guide for the satchel but have a question. When I collect a certain amount of pelts. Can I at any time go to camp and return those to Pearson ? So when I have all the pelts I can craft the satchels ? Like say I have a beaver pelt 2 deer pelt and the iguana can I go back to camp and then those in?
Absolutely you can go back at any time to hand in and I would suggest you did it very often, so getting the fast travel is a vital step to make it easier to do that. If you die you will lose the pelts and have to start again. Which brings me on to my other warning when you have pelts on your horse save your game often until you can hand them in to Pearson 😀.
I’m not sure to be honest I think express is more for human targets but to give a proper answer I would need to go back into the game to examine both again. Using high velocity ammo is something I learned early on in my game journey so have always used it for hunting!
Wow, I recently started playing this again and your tutorial has saved me so much accidental dumbness on my part lol. Thank you so much and keep up the great work, I look forward to watching more of your videos
This is one of the best in depth guides I’ve seen after searching. I was able to do all but the legends of the east bag in one sitting because of this guide. The badger was the hardest in my opinion.
@@chiueplays5157 Thank you so much it took me along time but I’m very proud of it - it helped me learn a lot about video editing and creating content. There is now a much easier way to get a badger pelt which I didn’t know at that time - will link you the video. I may also add it in this video’s description too so thank you for the reminder 🤠 100% Spawn PERFECT BADGER PELT - Idiots Guide to RDR2 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iaVbO7wn31A.html
Wait, did I waste my freebie from the guy who offers to buy you any weapon for saving his life, on the Varment which would have been free anyway because I have the special edition game??? I assumed because it said $0 for cost it was basically the guy’s freebie being locked to that rifle to get you started with hunting. 😢😢
Thank you for this great guide, you made getting all the pelts feel so managable! Thanks to you I have a foxtrotter and a fully upgraded satchel in chapter 2 ^-^
Nice work. A couple of remarks. The varmint rifle is too strong for squirrels and snakes and the really small stuff like toads etc, you need a small animal arrow for those. You can get the Springfield for free if you help out the hapless NPC who got bit by a snake (I believe that's what it was). The money glitch is nice but if you go to Fairvale Shanty up in grizzlies east where there are 2 dead guys who shot themselves over some money. They each have dropped a Cattleman revolver that you can pick up provided you have a second holster unlocked from the trapper. There is a lockbox in the shanty. The lockbox contains money, jewelry and a gold nugget. If you leave, sleep nearby, "The Loft" has a bed, and come back the next day the dead bodies will be decaying but the lock box will be full again. You don't have to save and load. The one you pointed out is certainly closer though. I do my early traveling on horseback and don't take a train, just to accelerate my horse bonding. And to look and take in the beautiful scenery. You don't need to activate a fence with Hosea, the fence in Rhodes and the Scotsman in Van Horn Trading Post are open from the get go. Elks show up all the time around little creek river and all along the western and northern areas of the map, no need to trigger them in my experience. Interesting cougar bait method in Big Valley. I simply ride my horse up and down the road along the river and one always shows up. I prefer my bow with an improved arrow for a head shot. In particular when chased by a pack of wolves, faster reload than the Springfield. I catch a deer as panther bait and put it in the woods among the trees just beyond the rock where your Arthur puts his predator bait and use that rock as my hiding point. And I crouch so the beastie won't see me (I hope). The iguanas can be a total pain sometimes all you get is 2 star after 2 star. "Iguana Island" is also "Snake Island," there are a lot of water snakes in the water around the island. These are an easier catch than the various rattle snakes etc on land that tend to wiggle away and make a head shot difficult. The water snakes don't wiggle quite as much and you can get an easy head shot. Make sure you shoot them before they get in deep water and you can't retrieve them. A reliable spawn for snakes is in the water just off the stranded ship, there is always 1 or 2 snakes spawning as you circle the island. I stock up on snakes there for Pearson and the trapper who needs 10 for the saddle and a few more for the clothing items. Rdr 2 is quite an experience. Was on my second playthrough but started a third as i wanted to keep Arthur's original horse as well as the Shire that Hosea gave him for the bear hunting mission so started again.
Wow thanks for this awesome comment. I agree with all of what you said some great tips here. The only one I disagree on is the use of the Varmint for small animals like squirrels and birds or snakes etc. As long as you have the buck antler trinket the game should upgrade your pelt if it was originally a three star in the first place, sometimes it doesn’t but most of the time it’s a lot easier than fiddle about with the small game arrows (in my opinion). Maybe I’m just lazy 😀
@@Jules-GamerGrandma Squirrels all end up getting destroyed with the varmint rifle for me, same with snakes even with the trinket. Toads, frogs, rats, crabs all need a small game arrow. Musk rats need a varmint, small arrow won't kill them. Birds I use the varmint because you don't need perfect ones for the feathers for your hat at the trapper's and for that collector a 2 star bird is good enough True the small game arrows can be a bit of a pain. Funny flippin' middle aged adult men nerding out over a xbox game LOL! It's so good though.
I realised I wasted my free gun for saving the NPC by choosing the varment, which would have been free anyway as a special edition owner. I could have got the Springfield 😂
