HURL0006 - 1955 ALL IRELAND HURLING FINAL WEXFORD V GALWAY 

One of the only recordings of Nicky Rackard playing. Possibly the greatest hurler in history, even today no one can come close to beating his goal record. He also has the most scores in a single match where Wexford beat Antrim and Rackard scored 7 goals and 7 points. A legend of the sport.

My grandad is tommy Boland the Galway goalkeeper 🙌🏻 and my cousin is Cian Boland who plays for Dublin 💪🏻

I was there that day. I'm from Dublin . My Mother (God Rest Her) was from Enniscorthy. Galway always got a bye into the AllIreland semi final. However the lack of match practice always hurt them. They had good teams but never won anything.
