This song is a masterpiece that you haven't even heard yet!!! You gotta put it on repeat!!

It's between this and Dead Goon for favorite Bungle songs for me. I play this one on the jukebox at the bar and just watch the reaction of everyone else in the bar. The blank look on everyone's face makes me happy.

This is one of the harder Bungle songs to hear so definitely try and listen to it again, trust me it's totally worth it!!!! What else can I say really, this song is incredible, so complex and well composed, wish they had made more like it but as you probably know Bungle don't make 2 songs alike, which is one of the reasons we love them so much 😎 I would have loved to have heard Trevor singing SS live but I don't think it ever happened, would love to be proven wrong on this one though?? anyone??? 🤓 Anyway thank you for your reaction and go listen again 💗

Yes my man! Back in the day when I first got into FNM, I'd heard about MB through a magazine and decided to download one of their records. It happened to be DV and after about 10 minutes I switched it off and set it aside for years, it was too much for my young brain at the time!

this song made me realize bungle is very diverse lol i got into this ablum expecting ska experimental rock and this just blew my mind lol i would of never thought of hearing jazz and metal on first listen lol

They`re killin` it, I don`t know what else to say.. :) And you have 2 in 1, isn`t it nice, heheh.. (even 3 in 1 :D !) Yes, this is an example how they change the structure of their songs when they play it live, not always, ofc, but fortunately sometimes, making it a bit simpler or it could be just a little more complex, and yet equally pushing the boundaries in some way ... :)) Carry Stress in the Jaw is quite a challenge to listen to, I can tell you, but the genres they use make it a pleasant experience: you got a Latino music (Rumba rhythms), then they break into disgusting Thrash-Speed metal..! :)) They throw a bit of Free Jazz... And also, that middle, slow, `narrative` part is where Patton actually sings / recites words from Edgar Allan Poe's novel "Berenice", yeap ! :)) But, cool, the Spy is where the Stress (from the jaw) relaxes, so to speak, haha.. :) You have Trevor - and Mike - on vocals (both), right, creating a catchy song to dance to, in the style of the slow rockabilly r`n`r of the early 50's, like from an old James Bond movie, or even Tarantino`s Pulp Fiction, you know that part - when J.Travolta and Uma Thurman dance together in a restaurant...? :)) In any case, both song are great, the first as a serious one, which deals with perfection, and yet the fragility of someone's dreams, both in the state of wakefulness and sleep, yeah..? and the other one as a cartoon(ish) angle of looking at the usual musical walk of 20th century`s 50`s, in which a secret spy makes his funny moves, hahah... :) Oh, let me add one more thing: the very end of the Spy, just with that bongos and with Patton goofing with his voice - is actually an intro for the next song - Desert Search for Techno Allah, if that confused you.. :)) Well, I guess we`ll hear it soon.
