..So Love Your Travel Adventures that You Get to Take, Russ. I'm Now basically Homebound as I was "Diagnosed" End Stage 4 Liver Disease So I ride along with You & a few other Great RV Channels to Get to Do What I used to Love to do. Oh, I Love your Phrases Like "Too Cool for School", "Goodness" and "I'll Be Darned" (My Mom & Grandma Molly) Used to say that a Lot. They were from Spirit Lake Iowa (Near Lake Okoboji) N.W. If you travel through Huron a must see is Nickle Plate Beach. It is located on the eastside of the river and nestled in a neighborhood.

Love your drone footage. When you panned and looked over Route 6 I could see my boat docked at Holiday Harbor Marina. It is in the first line of boats just past the railroad tracks. The white with blue canvas 41 footer.

I have enjoyed walking along Lake Huron. Really relaxing. Wander if that guy caught any fish? Did you know Bob Denver lived in Princeton, West Virginia. Now I will be humming these catchy tunes. Thank you Russ! hehe Sittin' on the dock of the bay........ Started as a 3 hour tour. The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed.... Have a nice evening Russ!

If you went into Michigan on the Lake Michigan side you can follow a road map that tours all the Light houses on the western side all the way up to the UP. And you can go into most of them. Unreal. I lived in Michigan for years. What a interesting and beautiful place. The light houses are one of their most unique treasures.

Another good video close to I lived for many years. I used to go here about once a week in the summer and fall. Up until recently, you could walk on the rock pier all the way to the lighthouse and people would love to fish there. Well, not long ago, a drunk woman walked out on the rocks during a storm and fell into the lake and drowned. So the city shut down the walk out there. Ruined it for me. Still a cool town.

i think those "Big Pipes" are/were a rotary kilns. I think they where used for make cement. The area from here west is rich in lime stone. From lime stone gravel to huge blocks use along the shore to protect the land from erosion. If he keeps traveling west he will come across some lime stone quarry's. To the east, there are several sand stone quarry's. At one time, it had one of the largest quarry's in Amherst, Ohio.

There used to be a tug boat called The Huron, it was a rescue boat for the lakes, it was decommissioned years ago and was moored in Port Huron where I was able to tour it, and when I was a kid we shared the lakes with it on our boat often. I don't know if it is still around or not.

Too bad that you didn’t visit Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA. They have about 3-4 lighthouses, more picturesque Lake Erie shots and over 3,000 acres to enjoy. Lots of bird life too.

Were you to take U.S. Route 6 east and drive for a ways, Russ, you'd eventually pass through my hometown of Mahopac, New York. Wonder if Nickel Plate Beach's name derives from the old New York, Chicago and Saint Louis Railroad, nicknamed the Nickel Plate Road, which once operated in the area. Remember, Russ, on the Great Lakes all ships are called boats. After that dock of the bay comment I just knew that three-hour tour was coming as soon as the cabin cruiser came into view. Too funny. Enjoy our great nation's birthday, Russ.
