There are opportunities with this motor. First thing i would do is , make an intake with port fuel injection or water injection to keep the valves clean Oil pan modification to accept a dipstick.
Lets hear what Mr Mason has to say... I can't believe it's almost 20 yrs, but it is. So I purchased my 2005 Magnum rt new. Over the yrs, by picking and choosing, I purchased an entire 6.1 hemi top end. You name it I got it, lifters cam rockers, head, springs, pushrods, intake, injectors, TB, I've collected it. of course over the decades I also have the have the diablosport, and the Tranformer. It's 20 yrs, and time to refresh to old wagon. maybe do some bodywork. I do understand mopar's old 6.1 cam needs to be advanced 4-6 degrees. This is not a race car.. Should I just reach into the pats bin, and deplete the inventory? Is there any boost in there, I'm 59 yrs old, and don't care what I purchased at swap meets.
Yeah, I'll never be able to understand that. As a side note, my video on the hurricane 6 engine having no dipstick was the most watched video in the shortest amount of time frame that I had ever put out.
If it was a Dodge Engine instead of stellantis Engine I'd have a lot more faith in it, but all I've been hearing is these engines popping, In the trucks mostly, And they haven't even been out that long. I was kind of looking forward to leasing another Gladiator with the high output, but I think I'm gonna skip it, Wait and see what people think of them in a Jeep.
Total slow garbage.i can't believe everybody thinks you are just gonna throw 25 lbs of boost at it.The last thing on dodge mind is modifying it for performance.JUNK
