Hope Milton isn´t massing up all you work again. Will come over in 3 weeks, actually for a big round birthday, now probably more to support, as my family was also hit pretty hard by Helene. I would be happy if I manage to have a beer with my uncle (also from Germany) at Hubbard´s Marina :) Take care of guy´s and keep your fingers crossed that Milton doesn't ruin everything again

Dylan, if you or any of your crews sees this, get the Friendly and the Florida, load them up with grub (food) and supplies and have full crews run them up to Panama City for safekeeping during Milton. I was heartbroken when the Panama City Queen Fleet lost their iconic party boats because they didn't move them when that hurricane struck the Panhandle a few years back. My sister lives near you in Seminole and they are evacuating to Georgia. Prayers to you and yours and everyone at Hubbard's Marina. -- John L.

Where's your landlord Ben Mallah in all of this? Has he shown up yet? I don't understand. Why wouldn't you just put all of this on hold until after Milton? You're acting like there isn't another massive storm bearing down on you.

In commerical the tenant is respocible for a good portion of the repairs because it is their fit up. Ben just owns the base building or the “core” of the building.

@@jamesm8965 Im a landlord and commercial broker in New York City, so I know what youre saying... but its not really that simple. When a property floods out like this there are absolutely going to be landlord responsibilities. My guess is Ben is smart enough to not do any work until hurricane season is over. Meanwhile the tenants are anxious to get back into business and theyre doing too much too quickly. Also, Ben is smart enough to file all his insurance claims before deciding what work he needs to pay for out of pocket.

I doubt that. I would think the sand removal in the parking lot and getting the power back on is in Ben’s wheelhouse. I would think there is a lot of “get it fixed and send us the bill” also. I wouldn’t think he is being a deadbeat about it. I’m sure Ben knows this guys business is his business.

@@jamesm8965 I agree with the concept that he may be telling them to send him the bill and do the work themselves. He has other properties in this area to worry about also. Ben isnt a deadbeat landlord but he is savvy and he isnt going to do work hastily without filing his insurance claims first and consulting with an adjuster. And he certainly isnt going to do any work with another massive storm heading right at them.
