We live on the South side of Sarasota, about 10 miles East of Siesta Key.
This was our 1st hurricane ever and the 1st to hit Sarasota in about 100 years.
We are so thankful that we have very minimal damage.
I started recording around 9:30 am and recorded until it got dark. I've condensed it down to just under 12 minutes. It starts getting wild around the 1:45 pm mark.

Thankfully it was heavy enough not to go anywhere. We couldn't move it because of how heavy it is so we just prayed it would stay put.

I hope I didn’t come across as not feeling blessed. We are extremely blessed and can see the devastation very close to us. I wanted to document this storm for myself and my family. I wasn’t trying to be insensitive to what others are experiencing
