👉May I suggest NOT standing outside during a hurricane & strong winds & giant flying debris...

Great Footage. I can't get over Houma and Golden Meadow getting hit so hard. Incredible. I grew up in Louisiana and I can tell you that when we rode out the Hurricanes.....you can't imagine the sounds your home is capable of making. We lived in Victorian homes from the 1800's and they made sounds that were haunting during a Hurricane. I can still hear the sounds in my mind. Those homes are still standing today. Or at least I hope they are after Ida.

Standing in those strong winds is dumb. Could easily b killed by debris.

I feel so sorry for any animals that are out in this weather.

Watching this brought back so many bad memories of two years ago when Hurricane Michael tried and almost succeeded in wiping my part of Florida off the map! My heart goes out to these people that had to face this. We still have areas that have not been able to repair or rebuild.

Back in the 70's I was in a 115 mph wind storm in Colorado -- but the air is thinner there.

Why are people out in this Strom? Find shelter, go to a hospital or police station. This Strom is no joke. Many of you are without power. Get your meat out and salt and pepper it down with a little oil. As soon as you can, light the grill and get to cooking your meats so it all won't be wasted. Praying for you all. We live in Ca, we have had probably $50 worth of damage from falling glassware from earthquakes in my 51 yrs of home ownership, they are scary, but I'll take that any day over the hurricanes.

We had Hurricane Grace, strength 1, here in the Cayman Islands last week. It was terrifying and I never would have gone outside during that time. Only people who do don't value their lives very much would go outside.
