With this kind of catastrophes why are people making stupid comments about fake housing etc, have some empathy towards anyone living in the affected areas and just hope no lives are lost, humans as well as animals, many people can not even recuperate from these kind of situations, so people… just be nice🙏
It doesn’t seem like a Big Ask does it? Mean seems to be growing instead of Nice, Love or even just Ignoring it all. Seriously most of these homes were not built very recently & a friend has a newer home in Florida which has been built to withstand these events BUT who the heck can afford to pull down their house & just build a new one? If you can’t show some Empathy, Concern or Love then just don’t comment. ❤
It's the only way to get through to all the people choosing to live or stay in unlivable locations. You may want to send only love to them, encouraging their choices, which seems cruel from my perspective. I see those you judge as negative as people trying to turn a light on what a better choice is.
Вы только посмотрите из чего американцы строят свои дома, не удивительно что эти картонные дома развалятся от ветра. Нужно строить из бетона и камня как в России! Главное что бы люди остались живые!
Why are we still building with wood and drywall!!! CBS blocks, hurricane windows, and stronger roof structures are needed in this state. And other states facing the Gulf. My most heartfelt wishes for safety and strength in the aftermath to all my fellow Floridians. As I sit in my block home with 5 inches of water in the entire house, and in total darkness, except the light of my weakening phone. 😢
You guys were still blessed somehow that the storm has downgraded to Cat 3 when it made landfall. It was almost as strong as Sypertyphoon Haiyan when it was still at Cat 5. The Philippines in 2013 was not this fortunate. Prayers, guys. 🙏
If anyone thinks that the homes in Florida are all the same, they aren't. Some of the newer homes suck and what you are looking at in the beginning of the video are mobile homes. That type of housing cannot withdraw and kind of major winds even if it's from a strong tropical storm.
Can you afford $800k house? Because that's how much it'll cost for a concrete house with steel beams. What kind of apartment do you live in? Do you even have a yard?
@@ИринаШамирян-к5о не врите! не все могут позволить себе дом, разве что в деревне, где нет работы и оплаты за труд! и то развалюхи без канализации и водопровода!
@@janetd569 The narcissistic sociopath children of Trump... can't expect anything less than projecting their incredible self hatred onto the victims.... imagine....you talk hateful about your fellow Americans just because you are brainwashed to hate America, it's people and yourself....Trump hates America with a outrageous passion...and it shows by how his cult behaves.
@@janetd569 They aren't being rude, just honest.. Every part of the World has its natural disasters, it makes sense that homes are built accordingly to decrease the chances of death and damages... Makes sense to me...🤷
first of all storm chasers must have no fear and balls of steel cause aint no way id volunteer to be in that second prayers for all the people being affected this is the very reason we are considering moving more inland we live near matagorda bay and i just cant go through another hurricane
These are cheap manufactured houses, glorified mobile homes, that are placed on a foundation. These are not bonded to the foundation with rebar and cement block… These houses are for the elderly 55 and up community who are living off social security…
Lighting within hurricanes is rare because they lack vertical winds that cause water and ice to rub together reducing the chance for lightning to occur. A hurricane’s winds are mostly horizontal. Also, hurricanes are “warm core” tropical systems meaning there is little, or no cold air aloft for water and ice to rub together.
Most other single family residences are built with concrete block, and wood frame roofs. Much more sturdy. Probably not fully up to cat5 hurricane strength code, but the odds of that happening are very slim
Was thinking the same thing on how weak all those were built. More people should realize that fact, or find some that does know before buying those. Especially in a Hurricane state.
@@d.n.8919 I think the people who live here are very wealthy. Because they live in paradise 362 + days out of the year, they are not slaves to the government. They can live debt free ! And actually it’s not that cheap. Yet most of the people here own their homes. 🏠 and they are good and decent people. They are my neighbors. And they are the best part of being a United States citizen because i share that love for our country with my community, my neighbors. So no , these people are definitely not poor ! They belong to Jesus Christ, they are the richest people because he is their Heavenly Father. Tomorrow we wake up. Clean up , make repairs, and we spend another year in paradise on earth 🌍
SCOTLAND had a huge hurricane a few years back : we named it hurricane bawbag we didn't panic no deaths no structural damage house and buildings build in 15th century houses 1850 still standing WHY BECAUSE WE use bricks and mortar
Actually the opposite is true. Fewer hurricanes but more powerful when they do happen. A statistical analysis of historical records and satellite data suggests that there haven’t been more Atlantic hurricanes now than there were roughly 150 years ago. In fact we've had significantly fewer storms and hurricanes than predicted by people like Al Gore.
Well they finally listened. At cat 5 is no joke. But a storm that strong can’t hold that strength for long. Thank the lord for all the dry air and wind shear. It would have been much worse if those factors didn’t meet up at the right time.
Honestly those arr very tehular winds , cant neliebe it destroyed houses. We had 205 mph gusts in Acapulco, houses are made of concret tho. But new condos from diamond area are not and paid the price
Deltec round homes are hurricane proof. You can have them built 16 ft in the air. Please require all new homes in flood districts the. Ability to build them if they want to rebuild in a highly dangerous climate on the coasts.
Why didn't ANYONE board up their homes with plywood to protect windows from throwing glass around? I've never seen so many ill prepared homes for a hurricane. What ? There's even a house with storm shutters built on that were left wide opened. 😅😅 It's like you didn't know a storm was coming. This is irresponsible home owners.
