No one should complain about workers who have been clearing debris.

This kinda makes me sad thinking about how many animals were left there :(

They had to delay opening the access to the islands for several days to ensure that it was safe from storm surges, and structural damages. Once that was open it still required days of clearing sand before anyone could access their buildings and get the debris removed to the curb. I can see the woman is clearly distressed, but if they are still working to repair damage from Ian two years later, then why is she thinking that Helene would have been cleared faster.

I work outside in Orlando and it was very hot today. You would think it was still summer.

I don’t think those sand bags will do much against a 10-15 foot surge.

The scenes we’ve been industriously producing to hyper realistic effects in apocalyptic films are now happening in real life, except they’re instead based upon the reality what we considered to be the best of us so fondly produced

What about Mexico? Its a category 5 already impacting Mexico where is the reporting on that? Honestly people live there too and are being affected but all the coverage is on potential impact on Florida. I am from Australia, and yes we have had our fare share of natural disasters. But, with what I am seeing, this is unprecedented. Two Hurricanes in about two weeks. Myself and the rest of the Australians who are watching, just hope and pray that it won’t be too bad. Evidently it will be, but we will be praying otherwise. God bless and protect you all.
