Our neighborhood was neglected by the news. There was a lot of damage but things are slowly starting to return back to normal .

That street shown in the beginning of the video is east 23rd street, not 24th. There is no east 24th below Voorhies Ave.

OH MY GOD. I'm so freaked out about this. I heard nothing about Bklyn. I never thought it would happen in Brooklyn That's exactly where I grew up. My heart hurts deeply. I lived all over that area. All my prayers are with all of you. My family and my friends, That means everyone. I hope thing are getting better since Sandy. I'm in VA now. You don't hear anything on the news here.

El Greco didnt look like it had too much damage in comparison to some of the other stores in the area. Didnt go far enough to see Roll N Roaster though.

It was the building 3060 Ocean avenue. On the corner of Ocean avenue and Voorhies avenue.

oh my god, i live around here. i always used to go to the seaport buffet and loehmans, it's insane to see it under water, this is something I would see happen to places far away like new orleans.

and I mean between nostrand ave and knapp st, there are courts that are about 6ft below street level so add that plus the 3 feet of water on the street and it was 9ft of water in the courts, everyone lost their house my family lost 3

Do you recall the car garage that you video taped at around 2:31 into the video? was it the Shore Terrace co-op on 28 and voohries?

Very Sad... Part of Marine Park got hit bad Power outages...we lost power the same time sheepshead bay did but then it came back on but not for everyone.....some went at least 5 days without power. Rockaway is a disaster so is Bell Harbor....The devestation of this kind of storm isnt meant to happen here.....if it keeps happening...we will soon need scuba gear and lots of oxygen to continue living under water

Wow 1st time seeing this vid! Thank God 4His Amazing Grace kindness & mercy! Born & raised Bklyn I lived in Bensonhurst at the time of the storm in a tiny basement apt I's temporarily renting..🤦🏿‍♀️; I thank the Lord Jesus repeatedly I wasn't flooded out or harmed; especially as I had nowhere to go then; God's grace/goodness kept me💯❤🖤 I remember the storm soooo well & the lengthly afternath. For the first time in my lifetime New York was truly shut down for days+(this coming from then someone only in their thirties) at any rate, I ironically moved to Sheepshead Bay two years after the storm into a co-op I was blessed to purchase and though there were some visable storm remnants it wasn't much I noticed then - which mjs seeing this video that much more eye opening👀! Since then, Sheepshead Bay's been for the most part, positively revamped. God is still so good! Yet praying for those sadly who lost loved ones, as well as those all over, still reeling from the mass damage/loss in addl ways💔🙏🏽 Mnwhl, just shy of 10yrs later most everything in Brooklyn and the other boroughs - surrounding cities, etc was mostly finally nicely restored/remodeled in some way & many people/businesses able to rebuild. Either way, Jesus is REAL - GR8 & LOVE 4evr !✌🏾💯❤ #nevertakelife4granted #2moroisnotpromised #youneverknow #everydayisaGiftfromGod #bekindalways #trustinJesusalways😍🖤🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🌍

I'm sure that US got the message. Please stop killing, toruring, accussing, plundering and raping other nations. I wish that your conscience would wake up and you all submit to peace, to love and to prosperity on earth (a prosperity to every single inhabitants on earth).
