My Husaberg FS 650 (2008) on the dyno 73 HP at the crankshaft, ~ 205 km/h top speed Mods: Full exhaust (Doma Header + Akrapovic Slip on, Taffmeisters jetting kit sorry for the bad quality. Sold in 2020
@@meddis4647 well its a race bike with number plates on ^^. But as long as you take the maintaince serious it should last long, well you can always have bad luck but it can also happen with a new bike... I think 6k is a bit much for the husaberg but i'd say if you always do the oil change and check the valve clearance there should be no big problems. One important thing beside the oil change etc.: You need to warm the husaberg up, so you can't start it and go full throttle, this will kill the engine sooner or later! It also depends much on how you ride the husaberg. I would not recommend going on the highway. You cant always ride 140 km/h, the engine is not made for that. My cruise speed is around 100 km/h - 110 km/h. I only ride on country roads and never had problems with that. So my riding style back then and now is: I let the eninge warm up and ride to some curvy/twisty roads around my town. There i always go full throllte and after some "turns" ^^ i search for a good spot to do a break for me and for the bike so that the engine can cool down. I never had problems with my bike except that my fuel tank is always empty ;)). If you take care of those things you don't have many problems i'd say. Also dont forget to do an engine rebuild every 200 hours like its says in the manual book. You don't always have to do a whole rebuild at 200 hours, but taking a look in the engines inside is worth it, because its better to see a part that maybe be better changed now than ride until the engine dies. If you have any question left, feel free to ask! :)
One thing I forgot to mention: If you wanna buy one, buy the 2005 or newer models. There are more parts available and they are much more reliable. The FS 650 was produced until 2008, then they made the 570
@@Jake_203 as my next bike i prob wont get it, next bike would prob be 610 because maintenace, just maybe 510 smr because of parts, unless 650 is priced better or closer
@@xfdfff2620 it was closer to 65 should be 65 hp. I can have a look at the dyno chart to tell you the exact hp. Well I‘m not sure about a bigger carb. Usually when you install a carb that is to big the bike while always stall and so on. Air filter is a nice mod but I guess it won’t give you that much gain of hp.
@@Jake_203 no need for exact chart, that would be too much to ask for. Little over 65 hp is probably what it is. Was curious to know about these bikes tho, as I am thinking what bike should I get for next year.
patrick also few weeks after that I made an complete engine rebuild or I build an complete new engine because the old one „destroyed“ itself ^^ now I got instead of the Doma + Akra a full Akra Titan exhaust and some other stuff
patrick well daily bike, I wouldnt recommend to ride the husaberg only or most of the time in the city, it doenst have a fan, that causing that it will fast overheat. It’s a race bike with some lights, blinker etc😅 I change the oil every 15h (Motul 300V) with one full tank I come around 120-130km. Some say that the seat is very hard, but my ass only hurt a bit after a day ride, but thats just my personal view, also the vibrations, for me they aren’t a problem, but for others it’s a major problem, i‘d say the husaberg is not for soft biker ;) if you have another question, feel free to ask, i‘m also planning to do some POV drive in the next season
@@Jake_203 i already have a supermotard but, I would love to have a 650cc motard like the husaberg for the daily use, the oil change isn't a problem and the vibrations too, i like wild bikes and wild motards are better 😂. Thank you man for the answers, subscribed on your channel now 👍👍
