I think the most precious thing (which also should be the norm) is how Gary absolutely genuinely believes that, in his words, you are “a genius”. You clearly inspire him and amaze him, and i think it’s so beautiful and i wish more men were willing to look at women like that and actually see us as complex human beings that we are, not just as future mothers of their children. He’s your biggest fan.

They’re so cute together. My mom and my dad’s age difference is 23 years. My mom is currently 48 and my dad is 71. The big problem with this is when you have children. I’m 16 years old and I’m aware that I won’t spend as much time with my dad as I would want to, I see him getting older, and sometimes I wish my dad would be younger, so I will have more time with him. Anyway, couples with age difference just prove that true love does exist, no matter your age.

It's funny, from the outside I can totally see why people would think you're rich man/trophy wife but he's so chill and you're so intelligent, it's clear within about 5 minutes you are total equals.

I love how Gary understands that women want to marry a man who has achieved something and are able to provide and car for their family. I feel like sometimes it's trivialized and people call women gold diggers or marrying just for money. That is a straw man fallacy. Gary is secure with himself because he's been able to achieve great things in his own and they both compliment each other because they both have ambition to do their own thing. I’m just sitting here, almost crying. The values, morals she likes in Gary is exactly what I’m looking for in a man. I’m quite young, and also attracted to older people. It just represents stability for me. I’m in a quite bad relationship right now, much closer to each other than in the begging but he showed me a few times that he’s able to disrespect me and even to leave me. I’m 3 minutes in but has to stop and comment. My husband and I are pretty similar to you and Gary. He’s 11 years older than me, we don’t have a lot of things in common besides being introverts and liking rock music, but the way I felt with him since the beginning was the exact same as you. I felt secure, safe, protected and the support he gives me is out of this world. I met him when I was 22 and got married when I was 24 to 25. Although it seems like it’s a long time, I lived in Brazil and we had most part of our relationship being long distance. Now I’m in sunny Florida married to him!

Spoiler alert, 28 years later they are extremely happy together, having kids has kept my dad young (who was older than Gary when he had me, the oldest), the age difference is just a joke and we've never felt weird about it. Now they are 13 and 15 y/o. We also have an adopted son who has been with us for 3 years now; he is 18 right now. My husband and I are both Russian speaking, I’m from Ukraine, and he is from Russia. Valeria, I just had a thought about why RU-vid fame is different. I was looking at your thumbnails of all your channels and saw the “rejected by Victoria’s Secret” title and remembered that video and instantly thought “omg Victoria’s Secret really screwed up on that one!” And thought about how amazing, well rounded and charismatic you are. But then I also thought, if you had been famous through Victoria’s Secret first, I don’t believe I ever would have watched your RU-vid channel. I’m not following any “traditional” celebrities on RU-vid or Instagram where they all are because their is like this impermeable barrier where they never seem to care about my level. And the element of feeling like I personally discovered you on my own, is one of the reasons I’m able to feel so connected to you, and I bet so many viewers on RU-vid feel that way. I just get to go through RU-vid finding all these talented and interesting people and nobody’s shoving them down my throat with advertisements. It feels organic and natural. I bet a lot of people feel that way about the RU-vidr’s they watch even if they haven’t put it together that that’s one of the factors in that affinity for that person. They definitely have a great relationship, but there is no doubt why she chose to marry him. She talked about how her dad walked out on her and how they were never close and that she tried in the past to reach out to him but he would always back away. I think she finds a fatherly figure in Gary. It's not a complete coincidence that he's Russian, much older than her, and gives her the one thing that her dad couldn't....security. I think her relationship with her father made her fear abandonment and every other relationship she had before Gary, she didn't enjoy being with someone who would have to leave, or someone who likes to have their alone time, she said her self that she chose Gary because he will be there no matter what. There's nothing wrong with that, we are all attracted to someone for a reason and I think her relationship with her father had an affect on who she chose as a man.

I think that disadvantage of marrying older person is simply an aging process. I mean you have to keep in mind that your partner will be like 60, when you’re only 40. So here comes all the health issues etc. My parents have 10 years different and my mom says she can really feel it now, when my dad got older and also got some health problems. But of course everyone is different, maybe it won’t be an issue for you at all. Especially if older person is taking a good care of their health. This is just something you should keep in mind, because usually younger people do not think about aging and stuff like that.
