@@jasonpatterson2143 I think that DIRECTLY affects our rush game. Satt doesn’t know how to get our receivers open so they can tame the run game. It’s ridiculous at this point.
cant run when the offensive line, cannot block. Nebraska has the worst O line in all of college football for the 10th straight year...... Not one starter, could even play for another big 10 team, let alone start......
I like Rhule for operational aspecs of being a head coach but schematics is an issue. We have been out coached almost every game this year. Cant happen.
Anyone remember Aaron Murray instantly questioning Nebraska’s receivers after the UTEP game? He could see it right away, yet Nebraska coaches went all in to get them as transfers.
No answers, no excuses, don't sugar coat this and lets just all except that things need to change with the defense scheme, offense scheme and most certainly special teams.
Been preaching that we aren’t utilizing and scheming around what Dylan is good at. Those midrange floaters over a linebacker shows he can be very good. I just don’t think our routes are any good. Especially with subpar starting receivers. Get Jacory the ball.
I still believe we need to upgrade some of our position coaches. Wide receivers don't know how to block and don't know how to get open very well and running backs don't know how to run. Say what you want about us having a winning record but as you can see by today a first year head coach took Indiana and made them way better than Nebraska.
Our receiver room at the 1&2 spot is terrible. They may lead the country, if not close, in PI draws, but they can’t get open. I’ve said my piece everywhere, but I think that’s on Satt. He’s gotten bailed out by the Defense the entire time he’s been here
I'm listening after the telecast. Here's a poll to post for all your listeners. If Nebraska played Colorado next weekend with the Huskers still win. I would bet most people would say no. I feel that way. We have definitely regressed in all phases... And the shock and awe is gone. Colorado is in grade but they have figured a couple things out. But it's more about us. We are on the downtrend. As I said before, when the black shirts couldn't get off the field against Northern Iowa... That was a big tell
I’d ask the guys, has Satt ever been the deciding factor in a game? I feel like the defense has bailed him out in close wins, but it’s never been a “ah, that was a well-thought out sequence that won us the game.” He’s not very good, and I’d like to see Dylan have great play calling to capitalize on his talent.
It’s year 2, with top 25 talent, and we put up less fight than FCS schools do vs ranked teams. Completely unacceptable and a laughable joke. Sorry, I’m out on believing in Rhule. He’s paid way too much for this kind of result and he won’t fire the underperforming coaches on his staff.
@@bobhingst65give me a break. Anyone that’s still a Nebraska fan as of this morning has proven we aren’t fair weather fans. 20 years of getting blasted and embarrassed in every vaguely big game. I’ve put in my time. I’ll start watching the games again the season after they manage to not get beat by every decent team on the schedule. And I will feel no shame that I walked away for a while, assuming they ever manage that… Us fans have already shown more resilience and guts than the sorry gaggle of players that have worn that jersey.
@@bobhingst65Fair weather fan because using logic? Rhule has more resources, more talent, more everything and loses by 50. That means he’s trash sorry.
OC has been so bad for us over the years and have no rythem! I l can literally call what the play is before they snap the damn ball. We have the players . Bad coaching today very bad …
You Husker apologist will never ask the hard question. Satterfield is probably one of the worst OC’s in the BIG the special teams is the laughing stock college football! The 3-3-5 has been exposed! A bye week for preparation and this is the product you put out on that field? Coach Rhule should be embarrassed.
The only thing missing from that comment is that it lets Ruhle escape accountability because it's everyone else's fault. It's Ruhle's fault. Not a good coach.
Oh, the season is over. Don’t pretend it’s not. They stink. We stink. How long are you going to gaslight us for???? We’ve been putting up with this shit for years. We can’t even make a bowl game!!!
I said 2 weeks ago that we would be 5-3 after next week, right where we were last year. And that we would be in trouble and finish 5-7 again. I was laughed at.
14:25, any running back can run through holes and look good. No running back can run through holes that don’t exist. It’s 1000% the offensive lines issue that they can’t run or protect the QB. The OL is utter garbage and wouldn’t even be good in the FCS
Rhule is cooked. It’s only a matter of time before he’s shown the door. He could save his job by making serious changes to his coaching staff after the season, but you know he won’t. He might make a couple changes, but nothing substantial. His era at Nebraska is already on the countdown.
@@bobhingst65 you can suck it to since you love losing.. you'd have kept Fraud if it were up to you. You kool-aid drinkers hurt the hell out of this program because of lack of accountability.. you probably raise your kids that way too... your enthusiasm is so lacking i have to wonder why you even watch the game.
@@bobhingst65the only reason it won’t be 70 -0 is because Ohio st will pull the dogs off. But if they wanted to keep the gas down for 60 minutes they could put up as many points as they wanted.
I will say this I'm lifelong Huskers Fans i will be even in the afterlife. I love coach Rhule but what worries me is he said he thought the team could've have breakout season and last year he thought sims was the answer at quarterback. I'm not worried but it is becoming very concerning. I just do any progression when it comes to playing good Big Ten teams.
Robbin, that is exactly what makes me mad. If Indiana can do it in 6 games, why can’t Nebraska do it in year 2. Especially if we supposedly have better talent… something doesn’t add up. Great show!
Here is the obvious breakdown put very simply with all honesty and no exaggeration. WE SUCK, WERE WEAK, WERE VULNERABLE, and will get our asses handed to us several more times this yr. Exposed completley
Am I going insane? We have enough talent to be a good offense, THIS IS ALL COACHING. Watch college football, teams run up and down the field with way less talent
If moral is the problem then bench the guys that have been here for all the losses and play the young guys now for experience for next year. Take the rebuild stats now and give the guys who think they can win the experience. It's on the players then. Ruhle and staff builds these guys up. You can't force confidence into them!
Hey Sean, tell Sip & Robin I've got the answer to their riddle: "What do you call it when you can't run, block or get open?" - Nebraska, in Week 7, coming off a bye So bad, it's funny.
My thought has always been Dylan came to NU because he didn't want to ride the bench for a year. He'll head to Georgia, but he told Kaelin which is why Kaelin still came to Lincoln.
At the end of last week Sipp said, adamantly, Nebraska fans should thank their lucky stars they have a situational coach (he was referencing Dan Lanning). Nebraska had situation after situation after fuckin situation today and where was our coach? We have a helluva preacher. That’s about it.
Thank you! My thoughts exactly when I heard that. What about Ruhle screams "game manager?" he is just the one that is screaming it ....Sip eats it up too. All these guys did, every husker fan I know did. It's baffling to me because I never saw anything on his resume that stood out as a true accomplishment. Temple and Baylor were not bad teams, both were in bowl games in years prior.
@@paulkapke9284 it’s definitely unsettling. Whether or not Rhule is the man, he MUST upgrade his staff. The 2 obvious positions at least. Otherwise, we’ll be losing more than just games. GBR but Jesus
Where are you guys in the press conference asking the hard questions? Something is going on and we need to figure out not so it can be solved. You guys need to grow a pair and ask. Also tell them to get some louder microphones so we can hear what the reporters are asking.
Did any player for Nebraska break a single tackle in this game? While watching this game I noticed that the first Indiana player to the ball always made the tackle, instantly. I think maybe, Fidone broke one tackle on a screen play, then got tackled 2 seconds later. Nebraska’s receivers do t get much separation, and if they do, when the pass arrives they get tackled immediately. I would guess we had less than 10 yards after contact….Indiana probably had over 150 yards after contact
Okay fellas... Some HC and OC are already out of some jobs. Heck, when did we fire Frost? Midyear changes are becoming the norm. Why wait to change coaches if they are not providing the results you want? I am a MR believer but think some changes on the staff need to be made. How many of these special assistance do we have?
Sip were not talking about the yards the wr are getting. They are legitimately not blocking at all. 4 and 18 are horrible and we need to replace them with younger guys on the roster and get them to stay. We are losing players to the portal each and every week we play like this.
That’s EXACTLY the problem. We have WAY more resources than Indiana and they have a FIRST year coach and they killed us. Why is it so hard for us??? We are doomed. Just embarrassing and I don’t want any part of it. My dad and I have wanted to go to a bowl game for five years; it looks like we’re waiting at least another five years.
Every Nebraska player was bigger and better than the guy they lined up against. Rhule needs to go or fire satterfield. I'm done with this team until something changes. Absolutely ridiculous
We beat up Colorado, how many games did they lose since? Mizzou got a butt stomping at Texas A&M, they recovered. Michigan got stomped by Texas, Clemson by Georgia... I don't think at the end of the year that this game will define us. We'll get our butts stomped again next week, then let's see how well we finish out. GBR!
How much of the run game is being affected by the inability to pass the ball? If teams can just sit back and load the box against us we are going to have a long year. You can’t expect 5 guys to block 6 or 7. I did see some hope with a few good runs, but then Indiana closed the faucet.
To be completely honest, what has Nebraska done, in football, since joining the B1G? I would ask myself that question before disparaging others, ie Indiana.
Thank you it’s not just the offense that’s in trouble the defense got exposed too. The only decent team the defense looked good against was Colorado the other two good teams they’ve played have shredded the defense.
Indiana is a good team no doubt. What I see though from Nebraska is a team closer to a bowl game because they haven't sustained many major injuries on one side of the ball not because this team is making progress or better coached/better developed. They might still make progress in the record and I hope so. Hoping this coach works out but I don't see it yet. Edit: I do think they will show progress next year once the core players are more experienced IF the O-Line gets better. Raiola is a freshman not superman and it's unfair to put the team on his back as a freshman. This year he's not getting the support and safety net around him he needs in his first year IMO.
Nebraska does not have good talent. They have soft players on both sides of the ball. Indiana players knocked the Nebraska players off the ball and played with way more aggressively.
@@beng4151 yes how is the 5 star QB that they paid almost 2 million working out? 3 picks!!! You saw on the field today the lack of speed the lack of power the lack toughness. Nebraska got pushed all over the the field at every level so the 5 star Qb is irrelevant
@@seansullivan1055those picks were desperation throws. I mean, he’s a freshman at the end of the day, and as we previously saw in the Illinois game, he’s got to figure out how to be the difference maker. He’s got a couple of years to figure that out, and I cant imagine the talent at the WR spot won’t improve. I take most issue with our offensive scheme. We have subpar top 2 receivers speed wise. It’s fitting that on Dylan’s first INT, it was a 50/50 ball to our top receiver. That defense though… I’m hoping that was just “that game”…
All this proves is more NIL money doesnt equate to more wins. Teams like Indiana, kansas st, and iowa st are Top 20 teams with minimal NIL money and prove you can win without "buying" players
College football is in a place where each week should be looked at independently, with emerging themes from viewing multiple games considered objectively as well. When a team has persistent problems there’s a perspective that says the coach is either coaching the bad habits or condoning them. In this case Coach Rhule and his staff should honestly ask themselves this question and answer honestly. I’m not jumping to fire anyone. It’s the middle of the season and there’s lots of games to be played. All that will work itself out and become clearer. I will say in regard to the question I believe the coaches should ask themselves, I don’t believe they’re coaching poor execution but I do believe they condone it. When players know they can make consistent mistakes & play the same snaps nonetheless, you’re sending them a message about what you condone. Cignetti says they coach to a high standard & they hold their players to meeting them. The discipline they show during games exemplifies this approach. The themes we are related to lack of push upfront, poor wide receiver blocking, special team mistakes, inconsistent play from backs, inconsistent run game, Dylan’s poor footwork happening more often & silly penalties all highlight issues the coaches have condoned. If you’re a backup watching the guys getting all the reps continue to make the mistakes but not experience consequences where they sit a drive or two, or you notice selective enforcement of a standard (see Dante being benched but not Dylan), it does have a negative impact on morale. These issues are solvable beginning this week. I see the comments saying Nebraska doesn’t have talent & talking down on the abilities of the players. They do have talent & they have plenty of ability. There are behaviors and mistakes being condoned, including by 5th & 6th year guys who should know better. If that’s not fixed, this will spiral and get even worse. If the coaches lock in, are honest, and hold the players to a standard in the routes they run, making the blocks they’re supposed to, etc. they can account for themselves just fine in the games to finish the season.
The gap is not big. I think the biggest gap is the kicking game which hurt your chances. You never took away points in your red zone trips. Kick a few field goals early and the score stays a lot closer. I still think Indiana wins double digits.
Come on to K-State, Dylan. We'll take care of ya ;) We don't have the best WR but certainly better than NU's. And we DO have an NFL RB ... not to mention a 5🌟 TE coming in next year... Jk, in all seriousness, I hope he sticks around Lincoln and stays loyal to his family. We also like our current QB. He's pretty decent and only getting better.
You guys still don’t get it! Coach Cig has had the same coaches with him for the past 10 years. He brought over 13 starters/impact players from JMU. He retained the best O-line coach in the conference in Bostad. And the transfer portal allows for lots of good players to move quickly. This is not a rebuild. Coach Cig has massively increased the NIL funding for this program. You keep talking about this being year one, but JMU was ranked 18th at one point last season. This is just a continuation of last year’s good JMU program. Sarratt taught the QBs and the WRs the offense for example. The LBs Walker and Fisher taught the defense to the guys not from JMU. With all the JMU transfers, there was a player position coach just about everywhere to teach technique long before practices started.
Everybody wanna win fast and quick... What about long term stability and loyalty? Look at KU/K-State (even though KU hasn't lived up to expectations this year)... Again, money isn't everything!
"People want stability at Nebraska". What I still find hilarious is the arrogant Nebraska fans demanded Solich be fired after a 10 win season. Hell if Nebraska won 7 games now they would give him a 50 million contract extension.
If I was a Nebraska fan I’d be pretty worried b/c like they were saying Indiana should never beat Nebraska this bad no matter what year coaches are in and I’d it’s a home/away game. IU isn’t bad in fact they are far from it, but they also aren’t a great team like and Oregon or ohio st and the hai between them and Nebraska was glaring. Nebraska current recruiting class is like 25th and I don’t know how much higher it is going to get b/c they aren’t going ti get the big time difference makers they are going after like Michael Terry’s. Nebraska just isn’t getting those elite guys and aren’t getting enough of the ones they actually do get so I don’t see them becoming a real contender anytime soon.
Kind of like how I feel about OU defense that oriole calling elite buy I think is just good to very good. This Nebraska defense before the game is say they are pretty good but I wouldn’t call this Nebraska defense anything close ti elite and these guys aren’t saying they are, but I’d say Nebraska d is closer to average then they see to being very good/difference making defense.
I don’t know how you can say Indiana isn’t as good as Nebraska from s pure talent standpoint and then list off all the things Nebraska isn’t good at as a team. You don’t loose 56-7 to s team purely based of coaching, the winning team in that case has gi have a pretty close level of talent if not more. I think Nebraska fans drastically overrated their team, especially defense and QB and Indians was way better in those 2 aspects of this game
Colorado is the only quality win. Convince me NU FB isn't at square one again. This reminds me of the 62-36 loss to Colorado loss which arguably ended the NU dynasty. At least the Crouch offense could still score unlike Satterfields offense. We can say the sky isn't falling, but this program was completely exposed.
