Two wheel hand truck is the ticket not your back, when we get older that work ethic's will catch up with you. Take it from a retired commercial plumber // 👍
@@ThrownSparksGarage Your welcome, always think it thru . I seen plenty men early on cut in half from a disability with bad backs because of not thinking it thru. heck just being a tradesmen till you retire could wear you down thin, I barely made it and I was careful but worked very very hard. I have the same compressor I pamper mine I just put in the Royal purple supposedly never breaks down www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BRTCIS/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I used to be young and stupid and thought I could lift everything and now my back is fucked! Ask for help with heavy things, you might not notice now but when you get older you'll notice. Not trying to piss in your corn flakes just looking out for you! Great video!!!
What size breaker did you use for the plug ? I have the husky red 60 gallon. It says 15 amp on the tank I’m just curious ! I’m about to do the same installation thanks for the video
So my breaker is a little oversized because I weld off of the same circuit. Which isn’t ideal for the compressor because it will allow it to draw more current before tripping but that’s the risk I’m taking with using a 30 amp breaker. If this is a dedicated circuit for the air compressor I would size it based on the recommendation for the air compressor.
I would double check the owners manual to make sure you have the right sized breaker for the air compressor. If that’s not the problem, double check you aren’t shorting anything in the on/off switch with your wiring.
After watching you carry that I realize I'm in the wrong place lol. I do have a question, when you bought it did you keep it upright or can I lay it down in the back of my truck cuz I got a topper on it...
Yeah that was definitely a time where I wish I had an extra set of hands to help lol. When I purchased it, it came on a pallet but I brought tools with me so I could remove it and then transported it the same way that you are planning on. I would recommend to bring something soft to rest it on and watch the orientation of the motor so it’s not putting to much stress on itself when you lay it down.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I just bought that same compressor at Home Depot, but I can't find the 240 volt power connector, and I don't know where I can buy it ... I would appreciate a suggestion. Thank you.
The power chord I used came off of an old welder that I scrapped. Your best bet would probably be to see if you have a local welding shop near ya and they could get you a properly sized power chord; or you may get lucky finding one at a local scrap yard. Hope this helps!
I have the same compressor and everything to go along with it except when I turned it on it did 2 things 1.was quiter 2. It won’t turn back on now any help is appreciated
I would double check the oil level and the switch on top, my switch was a little finicky at first and I needed to adjust how I wired it together. Also maybe check your breaker to ensure it’s sized properly and your input power as well.

I brought husky 60 gallon 1-phase 175 PSI and used it just 2 times, it is not working now. The engaineer told us the switch has broken and always easy broken. So shall i exchange a new one or return it back?
Haha, that looked heavy, just wondered if the oil was in it already or did you have to put it in, I ordered one but I wanted to lay it down when I go get it but if it has oil in it I won't be able to do that, Thanks for the info in advance.
Mine gets pretty hot as well. I haven’t had any issues with it because of this, but do have it separated so it doesn’t heat my garage up in the summer.
@@ThrownSparksGarage thnx for the reply, video was informational. had to watcha few to get everything understood but no one ever mentions that the bigger compressor tanks produce so much heat. It kinda had me worried. I know the actual pumps do but was not aware the actual tanks get hot.
It’s held up great so far, I’ve had a few days where I’ve really put the coals to it and it worked without any issues. The only thing I would recommend is replacing the drain valve that comes on it with something a little more reliable
@@mikeammargon6847 I haven't had issues with it. Depending on the size wire you use and the length from your breaker to the compressor you may need to adjust. But 20 amp has worked for me.
