I think I commented before... but yet again a great video. Always worth a look for me to see how others do stuff. Only question I have is for some having an actual "torque" number to tighten the flywheel nuts might make sense.. (I know, I do knuckle drag torque setting too) But this is a very "practical" approach to working on these things... thank you for doing these video's.
I was hoping you were going to cover the bar chain oil leak which seems to be a classic problem I just took my 350 apart but I couldn't fix the leak. Thanks for sharing the video though my Brother.
Does the safety brake bar have to be in the running position or the forward lock position. I disassembled mine once and could not reassemble because I disassembled it in the wrong position. thanks
good narrative and explanations. A few improvements on the video work, where more critical operations be turned towards the camera so viewers can see the steps as they occur, such as releasing the crank from the cases, showing where to tap to loosen, small improvements like that where the offside of the saw being worked on is not visible to the camera. All in all, good instructional work.
A pro video. thanks for making the video! I have a lightly scored cylinder (muffler side) damaged piston (stuck ring). is it possible to swap the piston and use the original cylinder? Intake boot was loose made it run lean. I wonder if Husqvarna do that on purpose.... I hope not. Is there a cylinder kit that doesn't require modification for the 350? Thanks
cleaning with fine sand paper where it is scored? by the way, you showed the flimsy boot. I took it off and noticed the inner hole (at the cylinder side) is blocked. is that supposed to be blocked? very strange.... (the plastic pin that fits into the boot)
I'm looking into rebuilding a Jonsered 2150. I took the whole thing down and the cylinder is scored really bad and the piston is too ring is completely stuck to one side. I was wondering where you get your parts? I need a cylinder, piston, bearings and seals and I would like an upgraded intake like you use. I was also wondering if you would suggest putting in a new crank and rod too? Thanks. Good video.
Amazon w lots of parts guys in Colorado Washington Montana E bay and look at who’s selling the parts some have on line stores meteor seems to be a higher quality my original piston in mine wa Mahle from Brazil
question? can I convert the 44.3mm piston husqvarna to a 45mm upper with that block? where is a good place to buy? love your vids please keep them rolling
+DIESELMAN8V92 Yes you can. I'd try to find a good used cylinder and then get a meteor piston for it. I can't keep up with all the aftermarket kits that come and go, sorry.
How much money did you win playing plinko lol. And yes that clutch will go flying too, when I did that the clutch dropped to the ground( still in the sprocket drum), went about 6 feet, got stuck on a rock, it started throwing sparks and I swear if I didn't step on it ,the thing could of spun for about 5 minutes! Great video.
I'm looking at one of these for $225 used of course guy said it runs good but i haven't seen it yet looks barely used but that could be good or bad .my question is what too look for .say on the intake boot if it were bad what would it be doing ? thanks for your vid.
TasKmen That's a steep price for one in the states. Make sure the idle is steady and it doesn't lean out in the wood. Have a shop check it over if you're concerned.
just rebuilt a husky 350, and it only gets about 75 to 85 lbs of compression . replaced the cylinder, piston and ring, new bearings , new carb, new, fuel lines and filter, new manifold, and impulse line, the saw had a metal clamp on the manifold, however i had to reused the old metal clamp because i broke the new metal clamp trying put it on.new decomp valve. the cylinder and piston was aftermarket. the carb is oem zama . i have both mixure screws set at 1 1/2 turns.why doesnt it start ? why is the compression so low? lmk
75-85 psi is not enough to produce ignition. Did you check fitment of parts? (correct piston/ring for the cylinder ect). That low of compression is difficult to achieve, even with leaving the ring off.
Hi I ordered a top end kit but says fits non epa 350s it's a meteor p and c kit 45mm question is well it work I don't mind changing things if need be the saws look the same it was made in 07 . I didn't see that it was non ePA until after I ordered it I thought a 350 was a 350 also has zama carb would walbro be better to upgrade an it already has the metal ring for carb boot
Joey Hurst Yes any 350 top end will work. The EPA version was just a different design in the cylinder/piston but interchangeable. Walbro is better yes but if your Zama tunes properly, it will be fine.
Love how the parts and pieces are just thrown down on the floor, so called "pile in the corner". Certainly not how I would want my equipment treated at the repair shop. Perhaps a cardboard box at the end of your bench would of been a better choice. Otherwise, very informative.
I have a Jonsered CS2150 with a broken cylinder cover I know it's just cosmetic but it is a nice saw and I would still like to fix it. I can't find a new one do you know if there is an equivalent Husky part that will fit or a source for parts
