Got mine waiting for me in Boston now, looking forward to picking it up then heading back to the desert to give it a try. Thanks for getting it out so quick. Merry Christmas to Rade Garage!
Thanks for this great Instruction! Just mointed my Kit, the only thing i did not find ist what to do with the Cover of the Keylock. But I just multitooled it now 😅
Wow reconnecting all the cables is painful... it's very tight in there. I also used some black RTV to hold the dash indicators and ABS (in addition to the o-rings). Probably not needed but makes me feel they're a bit more secure.
If I don't want to install the Scotts damper (and adapter) can I just skip the part of removing / reinstall the handlebars? Or do I still need to install the adapter for the scotts damper even if I don't plan to use any?
@@walkercythompson No but installed on my own. You need to remove the handlebars because there's a bracket that you still need to use even if you skip the scotts damper adapter.
Are you sure you have the model years right for the tower? My bike is MY 2021 and it has the cluster/speedo of what you call a 2020. If I didn't watch this video first, I could have ordered the wrong item from your website, because my bike is MY 2021, but apparently I need a 2020 version of F5 kit.
Hi, the F5 kit is not certified, however it can be approve by TUV individually. Beside that we work on general TUV certificate, but this is very time consuming, so we are not able to predict the date of TUV approval.
For fellow installers... The cable part is painful alright. BUT once you do that - you are going to have something in your life that you can always come back to "If I was able to solve that mess of cables I can do " :D
