Worked in the Bush from 18 years old to 46 I allways used Huskies. Dig them out of the back of truck in a pile of snow and go to work. Stihl keep it in the truck and give it a crack in winter. The rubber from carb to head rips in the cold and back to town for parts.i cut 5 semi load a day with no problems with my Huskies.
I'm rocking both I wouldn't say it's cutting slower because of the longer bar but he might be running a skip to when the Husqvarna running full house or the chains doll on the STIHL 72 cc vs 79.2
I would say that the chainspeed is stil the same with a longer bar. And the both have the same amount of chain in the woud so that doesn’t matter! How charp ar both chains thats wat is important. The husqvarna is in the 70cc and the 550i in the back of the 70cc class almost 80cc. So the 500i should have more power
It humors me, that these “stihl vs husqvarna” tests are based off of one cut lol…. Try carrying one and cutting with it 10 hours a day for 3 years and see which one lasts longer. I have a garage full of stihl pro saws and I’m here to tell you husqvarna lasts longer
Well it’s hard to get 10hrs on a 60sec clip 😉 We have never had the stihls let us down being run everyday….well the first 362c was crap, we won’t talk about that 😆. This is our first xp, it worked well this first year.
I like the Stihl top handles (200/201T, not the 194T), but I like the Husky ground saws. I use the 572xp at work a lot, and most of the crews except 1 love that saw. The 550xp is super versatile as well.
You got that right. The husky top handles never were the best, the battery one is a different animal though. I like a mix of brands too, they all make good and bad
@@austindenotter19 Stihl's are better saws overall, are more dependable and last longer, a literal second in cutting difference is completely irrelevant not to mention you obviously missed the fact the Stihl is pulling a longer bar than the Husky.
@@jasonmeldrum7686 been running huskies since the early 90’s, still have a couple running huskies from the mid 90’s. All saws run for a long time with proper maintenance.
For husky I would say the 445 for around that $500 mark, the 550xp mark 2 for the 900mark, and the 572xp for $1500. (They are all priced close to that here in CAD)
Both great saws I've always liked Husqvarna saws but no one in my area seems to be able to provide service. I took my old farm boss in for starting problems and the local dealer had it back to me in five days.
I had both and both had a woods port. Both are great saws, my only problem is Husqvarna air filters SUCK and before I ever started the 500 it had a maxflow on it. As soon as I got the XS572 back I run a half tank of fuel and pulled the air filter off and immediately saw very fine dust in the intake. Which is ridiculous.
That’s odd, we’ve had the opposite experience. The newer stihl filters have been a let down with fine dust, though no major issues with longevity so far. This is our first pro series husky (got a deal I couldn’t say no to!). And have not seen any fines past the filter, cutting a lot of dusty ash. This saw is bone stock too. The stihls definitely have some more grunt, but these huskies sure are smooth.
@@chrispaulduprei have a 572xpg and i never go back to stihl! I tried the 500i to but its to expensive, in my eyes. Husky love, and greetings from Bavaria
I grew up with stihl and I agree. Bought this 572 because my brothers have to many stihls 😂. It is smooth, and does look sharp, especially with the new lite bar.
