Omg thank you so much ur video was such a great help I was saying same thing u did it seemed impossible with instructions with this new stuff I love the old stuff .. But u were a life saver
about to head outside and try mine. installed it last night on my fs130 and it ran pretty smooth. had a cheap chinese bump head that vibrated so bad my hands would tingle for over an hour afterwards. i also had the echo speed feed 450 on a bluemax and couldnt unscrew it thats why i bought this. it does seem a lot better than the speed feed.
I bought the Redmax Rapid Replace version for my fs100rx. Switched out an installed the #2 bolt which said it was for Stihls and went to put it on and it doesn’t thread on all way on to the gear head. Left about a 1/4 inch gap. Retried doing it a couple times making sure I had it put together right and seems right, but no luck. The included spacer doesn’t even fit on the thread post to try using that with it. So maybe it doesn’t fit every stihl that has a different style gearbox like the 100rx and other brand units.
Looks lighter and easier to thread than the speed feed. Takes many tries to get the line into both tiny eyes on speed feed if the line's not perfectly straight. Like threading a needle. I'm guessing line from big spools is easier to feed through. Looks like Husky improved the speed feed just like they improved Stihl's flip cap. Good job Husky. Thanks for telling me.
Hi there, dont know if anyone has mentioned it or if you finally found it yourself, but there are arrows on the outside edge of the bump side of the head that you align with the string holes for correct positioning to load the new string. :)
We are aware. Husqvarna sent me some prototypes to use after this one broke. I gave up on them and went back to the echo speed feed head. It is a design that needs work before commercial use unfortunately.
@@EdenLawnServices Yeah, i bought one myself, and the line keeps breaking off inside one of the outlets. I took it apart to look at it and it had a sharp edge that i filed down and it seems to be better, but yes, they def need more work. went to an Echo myself.
it did go faster then a speed feed 400..I did like it had grooves on the bottom..to help hold it..it also looks beefier then the 400....if u have an extra, unused, no green 400's I'll b glad to them from you😅
Have you had any issues loading line? I use X pro line and it only wants to spool om the bottom when I use the rapid feature. I always have to take it apart and manually spool which defeats my purpose of buy-in the head in the first place.
@@EdenLawnServices ok appreciate the reply. I contacted @husqvarna and they told me to use smaller line until it gets broke in...🙄 Guess ill give it a try!
It was just released a couple weeks ago. Initial impression is it is a well build unit!! Laura ran it last night for the first time and will have a review update in a few weeks.
