After replacing my plugs and coils and trying everything else, this video popped up on my feed and it worked almost immediately. I still have a ways to go on adjustments, but at least I know I’m headed in the right direction. Thanks for the video.

nope, you've got an air leak, brother. Temp fix but you shouldn't have to mess with those ever. Check your intake manifold gaskets! Trust me.

I would make sure the coils are good also. With the age, they are usually a common problem

I've got a big vtwin Kawasaki in the shop right now with 29 hours....one of the coils are quitting off and on. Seems like coils are not Kawasakis strong suit

Looks great..Where would the low speed jets be located on a 25 horse kawasaki v twin horizontal shaft engine?
@christophercorbett7307
@christophercorbett7307 8 месяцев назад
They've got it hidden under a welch plug. It's just an aluminum cap. Take a punch or small screwdriver. Pop a hole in it, pluck it out, and there it'll be. It'll be a tiny flathead adjustment screw.

i've got a hustler fastrak with a kawasaki fh580v Kai ... seems to run fine but you engage the blade it doesn't necessarily bog down but it doesn't rev up... but it will bog down and nearly die once u get in grass and ride very slow... New carb etc.. could this be me problem?

@ Corbett Mower Repair - I'm having the same issue but with my Kohler KT740 off my Hustler Raptor SD. I don't have those screws as on the commercial machines. Any suggestions?
@christophercorbett7307
@christophercorbett7307 9 месяцев назад
No adjustments for the Kohler. They are very easy to clean however. I've got one to do here, if you'd like I'll do a video on it

Are there two brass caps over the adjustment screws?
@christophercorbett7307
@christophercorbett7307 4 месяца назад
It's usually a thin aluminum cap you can either drill out or take a punch and knock/pry it out. If you've got a brass cap, that usually means it's a fixed jet

@@christophercorbett7307 I’ve heard they’ve got those things hid under some plug like you’re talking about. I’ve got a Kawasaki engine I’ve got to check because it’s surging and hunting. Gonna work on it this week.
@christophercorbett7307
@christophercorbett7307 22 дня назад
@@CiscoWes yes sir. Just make sure you don't remove the wrong ones. On some there are additional welch plugs that cover fixed/open jets

@@christophercorbett7307 Thanks for the advice! I imagine that I had one of these plugs come loose. I had finished cutting grass and was heading back to the shop when the engine started hunting and surging. Didn’t matter what RPM, same thing. So I’m going to see if I can figure it out. Thanks for these videos!

My toro fs691v when get hot outside surging black smoke engage blades loss of power then cleans out if mowing hit bump acts up again like almost dies like rich black smoke pain to take carb off fuel shut off hit exhaust so have to take intake an carb 2 bolts on each side of cylinders

Very common for choke to not disengage all the way. The choke shaft is made of plastic. Over time the plastic swells and that little spring ain't got enough guts to pull it back off. If choke isn't disengaging it'll be running rich....black smoke loss of power
