@@PowerHungryPerformance gotta let ya know, had a zipper Honda zigzagging through traffic I saw him coming then he tried passing me on the right shoulder I had her in EXTREME and when he got beside me I throttled on her, lol filled inside his car with coal. We laughed for five miles. Ya know he wouldn't pass me after that. I still giggle.
Just finished the install, super easy the worst was the ecm harness bolt (I have arthritis in my hands now and wrenching sucks in tight spaces) got er done. Want to thank you for a great product the trucks a beast now. The main reason I bought it is to tow my camper, gonna hook it up soon and go for a test run hope it make the truck pull better cause it didn't like it before. 37ft triple axle.
I helped a friend put in his hydra and it runs but the check engine light came on after starting. We checked the computer be for install and there where no codes. Even after starting it shutting down then pulling codes still nothing. Started again check engine light comes out when running. The glow plug light comes on as normal.
Hi Candace, the tunes are safe to run on a healthy truck and don't require any supporting mods. But, it will mostly come down to how the truck is maintained and used.
@@betosr86 what was your problem? I felt I did everything correctly and my truck kinda started and ran for a second then shut off. Then wouldnt start with or without the tuner. Still have my wait to start light and everything just the truck will not start. Granted I only cleaned the pcm once but I felt I did it correctly and didnt go down to copper. Chip felt super snug on pcm was actually hard to pull off. I'm going to pull pcm and put it under a desk mounted magnifying glass with LED lights and see if I missed something. My truck not starting after I pulled the chip worries me
