There is no difference in education. Those who work for a medical Dr at a medical spa will often refer to themselves as a "medical esthetician". Those who work at a Salon/spa usually refer to themselves as simply "esthetician". If you work for a MD, you will most likely be trained on using different lasers, microneeding machines, Radio frequency etc. At a spa you will primarily stick to facials, masks, dermaplaning, steaming, etc. Hope that helps 🙏
