thanks for the comment. Actually we grow tomato in winter period over here by hydroponics. Because the price is more high then summer. of course we use heating for production. But European countries start at February to until November. Hydroponics only effect for more high effect to fertilization system and it gives chance the possibilities growing under less using pesticides.

thanks for the comment. Hydroponics can not run without automation as a commercial. We can control all temperature in the greenhouse fro vegetative and generative growing period. Even we can set the temperature hourly according to the plant type. Sorry but we can not fixed the temperature like your advice. Especially tomatoes need different temperature in the early morning, day time, late afternoon and night time.

This is the most awesome thing I have ever seen. Sure wish I could get in on this high-tech organic farming lifestyle. I have no background in growing much of anything except for a small backyard garden. This must be the best career ever. Keep up the good work. This is the future of farming!

@jack20150 Thanks for your interest. I am an agricultural adviser. So have install many of them like this. But unfortunately those are not mine. Finally this year i will setup small and new one for me. it will aeroponic and hydroponic setups in this small greenhouse. And that time i will give news about it. Our screen run by automation and it is keep energy saving and arrange the shadow. We can create nutrient formula according to the plant age, sun light and temperature like winter, summer or other season. So automation system apply it by mix tank for each irrigation timing. Our irrigation mix group has lots of specialties. It can check by double ec ph meter and can keep optimal temperature as a needed for tomato or pepper. And we already do it 10 years ago.

absolutely correct.. This type of producing use the IPM methods. so it means min residue level..

Of course these greenhouse has own packing and cold store. then the products load to the truck for export.

Dear Oguz, I think you don't live in Turkey. This movie taken in Dikili/ izmir side 10 years ago. But before i also produce in Antalya side in serik too. I am an agriculture engineer. You can follow me also on linletin. Antalya side usually grow on the soil and old type of greenhouse. But believe me last 5-6 years it is also change and there is lots of hydroponic greenhouse.

I think what I saw was a drip and an NFT system, since however I'm going to be doing only small scale production, do you think that bubbleponics would work? What's the root system like, I mean, do you allow a lot of space for the roots? Thanks in advance mate :)

But we need to supply good climate by greenhouse and it's equipment like fog, screen, insect net, vent, CO2, heating or cooler systems. Each one effect to cost of production. So you need to decide growing period according to the costs and profit level. At the other side, it is also importing that how and where you will sell those product. very impressive. i have a question for the agricultural engineer. We have a very hot climate in the Sudan, with tempratures above 35 celcius for almost 6 mohths, which makes tomato growing impossible except in winter. Can hydroponics provide a solution for such a problem? Is there such a thing as cost effective hydroponics? Or is there a better solution? It would be a miracle to increase tomato growing season from one to two. plz respond to my inquiry.

My friend, sorry but I must ask you. Are you an engineer, grower, exporter or do you work for some seed/cutling company? And from wich part of Turkey are you? I haven't seen such automated greenhouses in Turkey yet. Where I live (Antalya province) the vast majority still grows on soil. It's true that the technics applied by you or your company were applied by the Dutch growers some decades ago, so there's nothing new. And what do you do with the final product?

Do you package and export the product near the greenhouse or does it has to be sold on the market first?

Hydroponics alone cannot solve the problem with tomatoes not setting fruit in high temperatures. You must establish a means of both climate and nutrient temperature control via the use of air conditioning, sun shade material to minimize solar heat gain and nutrient chillers in order to maintain temperatures at a level (~68-78F) below the point at which fruit set ceases.

@MrErolsinan I'm in England now. I have about 10 acres of land in Thailand which water and soil quality are the biggest issues. I have access to underground water and tap water but it's just too expensive to run because large amount of water needed. I want to introduce hydroponic systems there. May start with local plants, tomatoes and chilies. I'm not aiming to large scale systems but medium. Half hobby, half commercial. Regards

Is Awesome and fantasctic and all specially calculated. ;) May be I can get some ideas hahahaha well I will begin a small greenhouse in the roof of my house. Hi,i want to build a greenhouse like this on my property in Australia however the cost is very high.How much per square meter is the cost where you are from as i am willing to travel overseas to buy materials and send back to Australia.I want to build between 5 to 10000sqm.Any help would be welcomed thank you.

I know Duch growers because of i have a lot of friend and i visit each year to there too. Duch grower can harvest more then our country but our test better then Duch tomatoes because of our sun light conditions. final products is going to export.
