February 2023 -- Ever since I purchased my Hymer Aktiv 2.0 Class B RV, there was a little bit of water on the floor after I took a shower. After a year on the road the leak was getting worse and I was avoiding using the shower, so its repair became a priority when returning to Rockport at the end of January. Despite shower pan leaks being a common problem on this van, I didn't find much information online about how to complete the repair. In the spirit of giving a little back to the Hymer community, I documented what I did even though I was already halfway done with the repair, oops.
I wasn't sure how to take out the cassette toilet and after removing three screws from the back and a couple from the floor, the toilet wasn't budging. When I took off the bowl, I saw the remaining two floor screws. My recommendation is to leave the toilet in one piece when taking it out and reinstalling into the van as you'll save a lot of effort. You can see where the screw holes are located by watching the very end of my video.
