Hymnal Review Sing Unto The Lord 

(BTW, my favorite hymn is "Be Thou My Vision".)

It is to be a WORSHIP SERVICE ..Not the entertainment Hour .. a real problem in a lot of churches today !

Most United Methodist churches I've been to still use hymnals. I learned to read music from a hymnal - the 1966 Methodist Hymnal/Book of Hymns. I'll agree that there really is a dearth of good hymn writers these days (I like Brian Wren).

The traditional way for lay people to learn theology was through singing hymns.
