Also hypo-respnders may need additional hormone therapy like microdosing estrogen etc. they could have adrenal, parathyroid tumors, cortisol issues. Everyones bodies are SO unique as is everyones health journey. I’ve literally only lost one and a half pounds a week over 14 weeks. Some weeks were actually more some. There was no weight loss. I’m just averaging it out. I hope no one gives up. I’m so happy to hear about staying at lower doses and Microdosing so many people probably would’ve been better off starting and staying lower not everybody but many.

This was very helpful for me as I have been called a "Super-Responder" and I wanted to learn more. I'm reading studies and watching doctors of all kinds talk about why someone might be a hypo- or hyper-responder. It is a fascinating topic, for sure. Some say those who were sickest seem to be hypo-responders, but I defy that category having lost 205 lbs of my 405 lbs in two years. First on Trulicity for a year, now on Mounjaro for 6 months. I did 4 months on my own by not eating Uber Eats. When I started, I was as sick as they come... heart and lung issues from COVID, unable to walk, HbA1c 9.0, MASLD, CKD 3B, etc. You know the drill. And I still lost all this weight. Pretty fast, I might say. I'm still losing, but it has slowed to 5-10 pounds a month. Still nothing to sneeze at. Btw, allllll my labs are either near normal or normal. Even my CKD has moved to 3A and rising. HbA1c is 5.1. Hurrah! Thank you for this really informative and easy-to-understand video. I'm linking it to my latest blog post about the medication shortages. My Mounjaro 15mg. is nowhere to be found! Again, thank you both!

only fascinating when you are a super-responder, not so much for a hyper responder.

I have been on Mourjaro since November 2022 pre-diabetic I’ve only made it to 7.5 mcg dose I’ve lost 88 lbs. that’s almost 30% weightloss Don’t give up but give up the things that do not serve your new lifestyle. Mine was several things Stress Alcohol Diet that wasn’t making me feel good. I eat a higher protein diet but not everyday I’m living and working towards a better relationship with myself and life! This isn’t for everybody but it’s only going to work with efforts of changing your mind set!

Would like to know how many people have done better on Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) compared to Semiglutide (ozempic/Wegovy)? I have been going low and slower on Ozempic but switching to Mounjaro this week. will start at a the lowest dose and stay there as long as i can. I lost 20 lbs over 14 weeks at the lowest dose of Ozempic. still have a ways to go but not giving up. focusing on meeting protein macros, walking 10k a day and drinking enough water each day also staying away from carbs etc.

Same here!! Now I’m with Weighless MD and wellness. Excellent programs and results. Six weeks and down 21 pounds. Look her up on RU-vid. She’s a dietitian with her masters degree and other certifications. She has had a brick and mortar business in Wisconsin since 2015 but they can work with anyone in the US-I live in Florida.

I am a non-responder. I have stepped up to the larger doses of semaglutide and I have lost no weight at all. I am keeping my calories down under 1350, I broke my leg so I have not been able to work out. My doctor wanted 35 off to lower my cholesterol (Familial Hypercholesterolemia). I don't eat fast food, and I lean towards a whole food diet. About five years ago I did phentermine and lost 40 in about 6 months. It was pretty easy, I walked, and kept my calories under 1350. It took five years to put it back on and for the life of me I can get this 35 off... This was so expensive I am trying to stay off statins, and I do have some side affects (constipation, heartburn, a little nausea) but no weight loss.

@balzoemg8415 the calories and calorie deficit go by weight. I mean. My calorie deficit is 1800. I'm bigger and tall. Theirs may be lower depending. But soon as I started eating more, high protein low calorie foods, the weight was coming off.

I have lost 64 pounds on 2.5 mg and continue to lose. I also made major lifestyle changes. I walk 3 miles every day. I do weights at the gym 3-4 days each week. I eat in a calorie deficit and drink 1 gallon of water every day.

Same here. I've been on 2.5, 5.0, and now halfway through first month on 7.5 of Zepbound and have lost 5 pounds by going hungry all the time. I typically don't feel any appetite suppression, maybe two or three days through this whole 2.5 month journey. I just don't get why my experience (and yours) is so different from most.

My clinician (I feel) wrote 10 extra starting pounds by mistake. She said I’m not a hypo responder because I lost 16 pounds in 2 months. I believe it’s only 6 pounds. Starting month 3 on whatever the 3rd dose of senaglutide is. I’m not sure it’s gonna work but -

I've been on sema for 3 months and have gained 4 lbs. It is doing nothing for me but causing incredibly debilitating fatigue. I would like to try tirz but my doc won't prescribe that for some reason. Feeling defeated as I see many family/friends having great success with these meds with little to no effort. I am 53 and post meno by 4 years. Wish I could try another GLP-1. Surgery is not an option for me. I have 100 lbs to lose.

@@BrensBoutique I'm really not sure what to do, I'm thinking of maybe trying tirzepatide, but worried I'll just waste more time and money, or just give keto another go, I lose weight on keto and intermittent fasting, but struggle to stick to it.

@@juliejeanable This is my story too, Julie! My husband and I did amazingly on carnivore some years back and felt like we did in our 20s- if not better. We fell off that wagon and it's been a struggle to get back to it hence the sema. However, without the benefits from the meds I figure I may just try carnivore again. Best of luck to you!!

Surely the definition on non responders are those that get non or very little fullness or appetite suppression. If they have thus then the drug is working , weight loss comes from a calorie deficit which is helped by the appetite suppression
@archerandthemouse
@archerandthemouse 26 дней назад
I have constipation, nausea, terrible heartburn, and I am so tired after a meal. So the drug is in there doing something, it just isn't helping get the weight off. I am a person who doesn't get "full" normally. My whole life I have had to fight this. I did break my leg so I am no longer walking for exercise. I am not over eating on this drug but it feels like my metabolism has slowed down so much that I am just not burning? I am eating four small meals, under 1350 calories and I eat healthy. It has made me crave some odd foods, and really not want to eat others. I love veggies (I don't eat meat). With these meds I can't eat anything green or raw??? I only have 35 to lose... this sucks, it was so expensive, my insurance won't pay for it even though I have a 29.5 BMI and high cholesterol.

@archerandthemouse I relate and appreciate your observant, detailed description of your experience. I feel like I can't predict what will feel/taste good anymore. 35 pounds may seem little compared to many, but when those 35 arrived rapidly in a menopause rush, there's a certain desperation to take back control; the glp-1 alas has not been giving me that sense of agency over what's going on in my body. More exercise helps me, but that's not always possible everyday. I feel like I had more success last year when I got very serious about intermittent fasting of rolling 36 hour fasts, (I was not on a glp-1) last year. Odd experience for me so far.
