I have a 2019 mt07. i rode it from dillon, co to sturgis. Then we averaged 150 miles a day while there at the motorcycle rally. then i rode it to yellowstone from there. i spent 4 days there riding around the park, then rode it back to dillon. i have soft saddlebags i throw on it. later that year, i rode it from crozet, va to bar harbor maine and back in 7 days. 300 mile a day. and i camp with a tent when i do these trips.
I reckon fabric waterproof saddle bags is the best solution for a number of reasons, in fact I'm definetly going to buy saddle bags for my bike. I don't think hard cases are safer or nice to look at on the MT07. God forbid, it will just take one fall and it will cause a lot of damage not only to the hard plastic cases but also on the main frame and needless to say, yourself ! Enjoy the MT 07 it's a pleasure to ride even at low speeds 👍
I'm doing the same setup on my MT07 right now. All the bars and racks make the bike look amazing and add to the futuristic look (when the bags aren't on) and of course add crash protection for the bike. I'm adding a Givi Tracer 700 upper crash bar as well.
@@andyspeedshop your videos and the general look of your bike really helped me hone in on how I wanted my MT07 to look. I already liked the grey and cyan, but going with the GIVI bars over the typical angular stunt cages just looks better. The curvy look works better with the kind of organic lines of this bike. Thanks all the inspiration and install videos!
Nice to see work on the latest MT07... my son and I have the same bike as you... looking forward to seeing the Givi/Jivi ... however you pronounce it... crash bars.... im looking for some bars.. but unsure as it looks like you can get upper and lower bars...... subbed and waiting :) My sone just bought the Puig sport Handguards... they should be arriving today...
Cool video. Good content. First time I’ve heard of Powerbronze for hand guards. Cheaper than Givi’s version. The Puig long screen looks good on your bike. When I see it in non dark tint on other bikes doesn’t look so good. Maybe have to get that as well.
I took my mt07 2021 from CA to Oregon and back to CA last year. My legs butt little sore but OK. This year, I am riding from Kentucky back to California. Good luck to me.
I ended up buying the TST Industries integrated taillight and dumping the makeshift turn signal apparatus… 👌🏽 … I do have to have side cases on the bike, as I can clock over 11,000 miles a year commuting on the bike. Just gotta have the storage.
@@andyspeedshopI've got side cases. Aluminium, 30ltr per side and a matching top box. I bought the genuine yamaha rear rack and made the side carriers myself, I didn't need to drill the side panels or pissball about with reg plate carrier.
I'm retired now so only use the MT for camping and pleasure. Prior to packing up work I was doing 135 miles a day 6 days a week. I had a Honda NC750X DCT then with a box and a backpack.
mt07 is a good bike. Rode 8000km lust summer. this year I bought tracer 9 because mt07 looks bad with bags. It's small and it's not a touring bike. But mt07 best for city traffic, more comfortable than tracer 9. Each bike for its task
Hyper Naked Touring 😂 i love it! Keep doing your thing. Can you please send a link to the UK handguards? Also, is that the Puig Touring Windscreen as you say "tall screen?" Much appreciated.
Here’s the link to the handguards: www.powerbronze.co.uk/yamaha-mt-07-14-21-fz-07-14-21-380-y105.html?options=cart …and that is the Puig screen. Thanks for watching!
Could you please upload some photos or on a future video the bike without the side bags? Am only interested in the combo of the rear top case of sw motech ( street rack ). The majority of the time i ll ride the bike without even a top case, so i care for the looks just with the rear rack. Thanks in advance!
Hi there. Great vids. You make a great job . I'm looking for a phone holder like yours but I can't find the brand: is it Trail Tech or Touratech ? And which references ? Thanks and have a good one.
Thanks for watching! Here’s a link for the mount. www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/trail-tech-replacement-voyager-gps-computer-handlebar-mounting-hardware-p
Hi mate, could you post the link to the phone mount and the adapter? I like the fitment but can't quite find the right parts. Can you still get to the key? Looks a bit cramped with the high wind shield.
@@andyspeedshop Actually could you post an exact link to the trail tech mount, can't find it. Also are you worried about vibrations damaging your phone?
Dude I just started working offshore and I was tryna find a vid of someone making this I came across you and id love to get in contact with you on how to make this for my mt-07
Wouldn’t just buying a Tracer 9 GT be a lot more sensible? I mean all the $ you spent on that setup could’ve offset the difference a bit and you wouldn’t just lose it when you finally do dump the 07, which you will.
My MT07 weighs in at less than 400lbs. I can do a 450 mile day easily (and just did) and for less money than a Tracer 9GT. Keep your overweight Tracer! I’ll keep my little MT 🤙🏽 - I clocked 13,000 miles on it last year - great bike!
@@leftymike8730 - I’m not sure - I work for a Yamaha dealer and I’ve never seen either of them in person lol - they aren’t terribly popular around here.
I had test ride with both: tacer 7 and mt07. In my opinion, mt07 has more comfortable riding position. Wind protection of the tracer is not better either compared with a puig touring windshield on my mt07. So, after the test ride I kept my 2020 mt07 and did not buy the 2023 tracer7.
