I can relate to almost 100% of everything she said. When I exercise the "sensitive" ear feels like when a flight takes off and then a thumping sound starts. It's so sad we don't learn about hyperacusis from our doctors, As she mentioned it can really affect your everyday life.

I tried consulting an EENT specialist and she even asked me to undergo an MRI and so I did but found out nothing. The result shows everything is normal. None of the medicines I'd taken had cured my tinnitus. I do sometimes experience having nausea,headache and most especially sensitivity to sound.

She's so right, the Hyperacusis makes the Tinnitus take a back seat. I don't use ear plugs and have no improvement yet. It's Sudden sounds. My Hyperacusis is with kitchen sounds, the letter S, light switches, ripping paper, plastic bottles scrunching, screaming kids, tapping spoons, dishes, plates, light switches, plastic things, etc, But cars, engines, mowers, fridge, freezer etc don't hurt anymore wtf. The exercise thing suggest blood flow improvement. Some people have noxacisis though and say always use ear protection.

you should use cotton buds and put them in the ears. Make them not too small and not too big either, they should fit tight and nicely so you can grab them with your nails or fingers by rolling them down towards outside. The cotton actually attenuates a lot sounds that would otherwise be very sharp. I work in a kitchen and there`s no way I could work without.

In the 1st, water goes to the left ear and then to the ear If there is an infection then the 1st doctor sees the screen and says that there is a small hole in the screen. There is no treatment, now everything is fine ... only left Now I hear the sound of ear sound tinitus for 24 hours, I press the pillow, if I understand that ear, the tinitus sound becomes louder and if it is silent, I understand more ... Today is 2 months + and now ear sound tinitus is in 2 ears and I have taken medicine. Last at Neurobest & Jeebee ... but 1 month is all I have to say that it is not good. Tingling headache is the body for 10 days today There is no balance. I want to avoid these problems, sir BANGLADESH

Do people have to use sound therapy for the rest of their lives? Or does there come a point when the subconscious finally is able to put it in the background continuously?
@treblehealth

No, sound therapy is not a forever recommendation. Once you habituate, you may not need sound therapy. That's what usually happens. Sound therapy is used for a time. Not forever.
