When you look at the chicken garden how large and so artistic this would cost a a fortune to have this built. The education of what works and saves time is so important for the building of the house. I am so excited to see what else you build in the future!

I like the countdown on finishing the screen openings and the ding noise! I'm glad you chose the way you are covering the ledge on the upper part of the screen openings with a 2x2. It does seem too hard to put plaster on the hardware cloth from underneath! You only have to do this on top so it isn't very much more wood. Wow, Jax and Adali are really covering the tops of the chicken run wall. Jonathan did a good job removing the top of the door. Ada is helping cover the top of the walls too. I loved how the "Doing It Right" song was used to count the 7 lentels that got done with the cute dance at each one! So fun! I loved the last one with you both dancing. Started my day with an even bigger smile than usual😊 I have really enjoyed watching your kids work and grow in this process … I am proud of them and I’ve never met them … you must be bursting with pride. I loved seeing you express that pride and hope the kids watch this video and have that to look back at when they are feeling down. Someone (a district manager at the retail store I worked at) told me once to keep a notebook of good things to look back at because everyone needs reminded occasionally of how amazing they are. It was good advice. I usually don’t even need to open it up … just knowing it exists is enough.

You should get a concrete stamp that would look like slate. You can even dye the color you want.. I think it would look really cool it's just a suggestion a lot of amazing things done using stamps

So satisfying to see no red bags! It is really coming together. During the drone shots, I was imagining the garden circle full of plants and chickens in the chicken run!. How nice will it be when you can gather eggs in the morning and pick some produce to go along with the eggs for breakfast! You are so close!

Wow! It is really a beautiful, artfully crafted structure!! Love everything about it!

I so enjoy watching the construction of your chicken garden, really beautiful. You talked at the end about the automatic irrigation system you want to put in the beds, my advice as a gardener is to buy a computer with at least 4 taps and programs that will open the water at different times during the day for different periods according to the needs of the plants and the age of the plants. For example: for small seedlings water 3-4 times a day, for older seedlings, water one or two times a day as needed. This will allow irrigation without a pressure pump because then the garden does not get all the irrigation at once. I am sure that your consultant will know exactly what to do and which irrigation computer to buy for maximum savings and irrigation efficiency as we in Israel do, we have turned the desert into a green paradise that yields a lot of vegetables and fruits.

Great progress, it looks awesome! We just got the wood for our son's window frame. He only wants one window in his whole house. 😏 We got 2×8 treated because that is the widest treated they had. Then we plan to put a 2×12 on the top of the door and window frame for easier plastering, and for more strength.

Drip irrigation works Very Well. We live on 1/3 of an acre with the back 1/3 of the property a hill steep enough I have to use a climbing harness and rope to lock myself in place to work. I’ve switched over the sprinklers to drip system, added more drought resistant plants to the upper half and started terraces from the bottom and planted a garden in the face and top of the terraces. ALL are watered with drip and on a B-hyve sprinkler time clock fully managed from our iPhone’s. We’ve found the black emitter lines work really great for 1-2 years them stop emitting water from the sediment. We switched over to the brown lines with holes every 6”. It’s also best to have a valves at the ends where you can flush the water through once a month to get the sediment out of the lines. Keep up the good work…. And Ashly… loosen up… don’t be so critical. Love yourself… so you can Love others.

In 3022 the arcioligest ( I spell like you talk some times LOL) will say , this was a sacrite circle ⭕ where they made vegetables, meat, water and power. It has granite walls layered with red and grey outer layers. We are trying to understand what tools did they use to carve out the centers. It is a big mystry we would like to solve. But now we can say , guys you have done a great job so far. Now continue your mystery building that will confuse the future. I just love it 💕

Suggestion for the top of the walls: Take a 5 gallon bucket, cut it in half vertically, then cut the bottom out. Use this as a form to shape the top bullnose on top of the wall. Use the TOP edge of the bucket dragging it along the top of the wall after loading your mud in clumps along the top. When you are ready for final plastering, use the BOTTOM of the buckets with the tighter curve, to shape the plaster with a little higher bullnose. You may want to screw a 2x2 along each edge for handles (maybe radias the sharp corners for easier handling).
