After 2 years of full on usage my HEVO was showing some signs of wear with thermal issues and some Z banding due to the Z axis assembly binding.
I therefore decided it needed some TLC and along the way I have Klipperised and redesigned some new parts to make it a tidier machine. The big advantage of Klipper being that I do not need a onboard screen which helps wire management immensely on the HEVO.
I have retained the majority of the existing parts but the new Designs include:
1. New Mini Boothy & Manta MK2 adapted Hot Ends.
2. New LH XY Joiner.
3. Easy access hinged Electronics enclosure.
4. Clip Slot System for the Extrusion to tidy all the cables.
5. New PSU holder with a separate USB feed for the Raspberry Pi if required.
6. New Universal Mounting Block with a lot more fixing options.
7. Extended Z axis motor mount to allow an additional 20mm clearance just in case I want to change to individual lead screws rather than the integrated ones currently installed.
I am currently tweaking the Electronics back board to make the assembly that little bit neater.

The Hypercube EVO design is still great. With modern electronics, it will probably give the linear rail printers a run for their money.

Yes, I did have Lipper running on mine until it was converted to my Vevo Voron kit. Still one of the best Core XY belt designs out there. The general XY joiners 7 the fixed dual zeds could probably do with some work though.

How did you connect the top square of the frame? I’m trying to build one, but have to sacrifice some Z height for the corner brackets

Hi, what bed do you use? It looks like original HEVO uses ordinary glass but your seems to be some prusa clone by Ender.

Hey, just found this on Cults while looking for parts for my hypercube Anything you found after using the parts for a while that you would like to change? thanks for sharing the steps!

Hello. Your video shows fairly slow printing. Is this due to insufficient rigidity of the carriages on the X and Y axes? I want to build a similar 3D printer. I need it to make parts for mechanisms. Should I replicate this design or would it be better to design metal carriages to achieve accurate printed parts?

My videos tend to be of early test prints where I am not pushing the machine. The HEVO is really now quite an old design. I would suggest looking at some of the Voron Design printers or similar.

@@boothybuilds I can't figure out what's good about a Voron. In my opinion, this is just an overly complicated CoreXY.

Ha Ha, you are correct in a lot of ways regards the Voronies. But generally the 2.4 is a pretty good printer but 250 plus printed parts and a quite expensive price tag. The V0 is a waste of space in my own personal experience. If you want speed, quality and ease of workflow. Just by a Bambu Labs X1 carbon or one of the derivatives. I have currently 9 FDM printers which include 3 Vorons but I only find myself using the X1 Carbon because it is so much better, faster , more accurate and so so much easier\consistent than all the rest. If you want to tinker, not for you, if you just want to get fabulous prints every time, the Bambu Labs printers are shoulders above the rest IMHO. FYI....I am not affiliated with Bambu Labs at all.

Hi, can’t get why is it so quite, mine hypercube is stupidly loud (steppers, belt, linear rods), Drivers seams to be normal btt tmc 2208… weird.

Apologies, I misunderstood, I understand your question now. No, sorry I just do not have the time or will to compile and publish all the individual stl files regards this project, hence uploading the step in the first place. Thanks Boothy
