You need to push the red on button on the Hyper Go esc 5 times to select high speed mode. The truck will then do 40+ mph on 3s, there is no contest on top speed, back flip ability & jump distance re the Hyper Go. It will out perform the Reflex in all these areas by quite a margine, its also a much cheaper rig especially factoring in the extras the Hyper Go comes with standard + it uses full metal gears.
I bought a mjx truggy immediately. BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK EVER. yes the bigger companies have slightly better gear and parts tolerance but I want fun. If I want precision ill get a 10th scale basher...for fun this Xmas im sticking with the hyper go!
Bias review. He left the MJX in kid mode. It does 47mph, comes with a lot of extra spare parts, wheels, extra body., ect. He didn't read the instructions or even know parts numbers of the MJX. Not a fair comparison.
Not fair, says who? Allowing a 3s truck to compete against a 2S truck is not fair! Comparing a newer design against a much older design is not fair. Comparing a truck that includes extra parts, mostly because it needs them, is not fair when the other truck has superb parts availability and support. See, all depends on your perspective. I'm not even saying you're wrong but you are just as guity of being biased. And, next time, show a long time contributor some respect before you trash his video.
I've got a Reflex 14B and a whole bunch of Chinese "designed" garbage. There is no comparison in the fun factor - the Reflex is my favourite every single time. Also, I appreciate that I can run it without breaking something every second run. The only thing I changed was I added a cheap 120a Hobbywing esc to mine which allows it to manhandle the others in every way. And yes it is more expensive. But it is the only sub 1/10th scale vehicle that I currently have in one piece. It get's frustrating really quick always "wrenching" on the others.
did you not turn the training mode off the hyper go? looked really slow compared to other vids. Also the button by the steering trim should turn the light on lol.
Joe id like to see this one again with the mjx in fast mode i love the ta reflex but the mjx blows it out of the water in my opinion every thing minus steering and with a bit of tweaking it will there as well it comes with all metal gears and the extras alone that come with it make it superior imo at that price i have the 16th and the 14th hyper and that 14th is a animal
First thing I do when I watch a video about the hyper go is read the comments. No ludicrous mode. Hit the esc button 5 times and do an update to this video. There is no comparison. Hyper go all the way. I also upgraded the servo for $10.
Associated all day long. The real question is how easy is it to get replacement parts for the MJX. Plus everyone saying its not a fair review your right. Lets put the Reflex on 3s and see what happens😂 awesome as always Joe
@@BangForYourBuckRc The majority of the parts are not available and takes over a month to get(comes from china) unless they happen to have them in stock which is pretty rare. Not to mention there are so many made by different companies and they all have a few differences finding the correct parts is not easy. On the other hand every single part is available from multiple places and in a few days for the reflex.
Usually your reviews are decent. You left the MJX in kid mode. The Hyper go blows away the reflex. CVDs, 3S, 45 amp ESC, price, are all better. You didnt even bring up all the extra spare parts, body, or use the paddle tires. You were biased towards the reflex. Terrible vs. Review.
You saved me from having to repeat your comment. HyperGo on 2s @ 100% beats TeamA. Great point on all the extras you get as well. I too love this channel, but really biased and un informed comparison.
that rlarrlo 1/14 scale truck ( the mini kraton) when made brushess is insane value. Plus there are a ton of parts for it and alot of the WLtoys parts fit on it as well. Which means huge aftermarket for upgrades etc.
My Hyper Go H14BM Handles like crap ! For me i could not be bothered spending hours modifying it ! Better of spending extra money buying something like Team Corally asuga. Asuga is a beast that handles great 👍🏻. Tuff as nails !!
I would also like to see the Hyper Go 16301 vs the Reflex Hoonicorn and the Hoonitruck 14R. Of course the two Reflex would have to have a brushless conversion to be fair competition. I love my Hyper Go 16301s. They are like Mini Infractions that haul tails and handed like on rails.
You can just upgrade the steering servo on the hyper go. That's what I did.. I think I still would prefer the Ta Reflex still myself.. that being said the Hyper go is great to
No price comparison. The MJX is a much better valur for the buck. And yes theres a hyoer mode in the esc. Like the guy sais push the on button 5x for warp drive. You should have put a 2s in the MJX to level the score. Personaly im a bang for the buck kind of guy.
Have you unlocked the beast in the Hyper Go yet by pressing the button on the ESC 5 times? It should tell you in the instructions how to do it if it is the H14BM.

My club races 1/14 buggies and truggies at my local club on carpet. It's always funny when someone brings out one of the china brand cars. They do make good mobile obstacles though. LC is the only one worth the money. The reflexes are quickest on average. We race on 2s though.
Seems you had it in for the Hyper Go from the get. Not a fair comparison. Hard to trust future reviews from you. There's a high-speed mode built into the esc. Press the set button 5 times to unlock it. It's literally in the manual that came with the truck. And you didn't even mention the parts it comes with. Kind of a bummer you posted this video. It hurt your reputation...at least with me it did. JS
Team associated is obviously over pricing the reflex, the hyper go is bigger, beefier, faster, and cheaper. I wont buy either, team associated products outside of thier buggy kits and the MT Rival 10 are plastic junk.
