Sir Swift Sorry bro, but I use the quotes as my personal way to describe what I see and feel at that moment. I literally typed in titles that I thought suited well with each set. But I'll be honest, I did use Menno - "Smiling" because Machete said "Menno is smiling", haha. But that's the only intentional one. Peace!
Complete noob to bboying here. At 10:29 this seems pretty dirty, but I can't tell by who. It looks like guy on the left is trying to start his round and does a flip way too close to the other guy. The guy on the right flexes and doesn't move, and it looks pretty defensive. Is the guy on the right supposed to get out of the way or is the guy on the left in the wrong? Can someone explain?
Devolution313 guy on the left (Kid Columbia) was in the wrong, although the situation couldve been avoided by the guy on the right (Skychief) dodging/backing up. A good bboy/bgirl should always be mindful of positioning and have full control of his or her movements.
+bboy j true, let me say this. Wing (musicality, originality, complexity, dynamic, execution) and then Menno (foundation, dynamic, originality, flava, complexity, battle attitude) I can say, wing is gud, but some point he missed something. Menno relized that n took what wing didnt show in battle. The definition of "more" is still biased.
I'd say Drud is way more interesting than Lussy, actually. In the "Best Of" videos they always show Drud for one signature, but he has way more range and musicality. His power is more on point. And he's not hugely derivative of other dancers. Lussy's got cute tricks, but he's a poor man's Wing Zero in my opinion. Not saying he only bites him (it's insane that he gets called out constantly, but doesn't care), but many others.
The first set where he transitions his airtracks into elbow air tracks has already been done by The END 12 years ago - if i remember it was in IBE 2005 Korea vs US
The moment you've been waiting for: The HYPEST Sets of World Bboy Classic 2017! Hope y'all enjoy the video and catch a glimpse of the energy. Let me know in the comments which set was YOUR favorite.
Of course I did not agree with some of the outcomes, but let's not forget that breaking is a very subjective game. Each judge will have his or her personal preference, style and opinion, which often reflects on the decisions they make. That's why I like the Kozen system: You can now see which judge voted for which side, round by round.
I don't really see much of B-Boys here, I see gymnasts that do what everybody can do.. Today's breakers are like Legos.. there's a handful of different shapes and sizes of Legos so breakers grab pieces of the same and put Legos in their own combination calling it their own set. I see no style, no soul, no originality and a bit of aspects of the hiphop culture here. This also reminds me of Authentic Mexican food but there is Taco Bell, Taco Bell is not Mexican food....
You make me laugh. There are so many interviews with gymnastic olympic winners saying how difficult it is for them to even get two consecutive airflares. Every single one of these dancers would own gymnasts at everything, except flares.
