Just to answer a retracted question regarding time taken to get the costumes; 255 hours. My broken Young Link build was really helpful. To bypass any character restrictions I'd use a 2nd controller except on the Grand Travels map where I'd use a Golden Train.
I just used him for the first time after unlocking him like a year ago, and now he's gonna be a main, I have a broken zant rn with like 5 strong attack buffs so he 1 combos everything
There's no A rating. AO, yeah. But that's only for games with graphic sex scenes or that are So visceral and realistic with their gore that not even the M rating was strong enough...
Ya it wierd. Maybe they were planing on saving him for a sequel. I mean a warrior game with both rosters and the map design from 2 would be pretty epic. Maybe also they will add Groose.
@@watcherxd I'd go with the Twilight Princess green outfit as Link's main outfit in a Hyrule Warriors sequel. With the same Link--the left-handed young 17-year-old--as the protag. AND the first playable character. AND the protag who's essential in ALL the story's chapters (legend mode AND free mode).
Only thing that makes me sad is that their was a young impa in skyward that looked almost identical to the impa from the warriors game and they didn’t make that a costume for her 🥲
So we only got like two new outfits? That sucks. Everyone should have gotten at least two new outfits. Zelda alone should have had her casual outfit, blue formal dress (my fave), and her white prayer dress from botw. Although unrealistic, it would have been awesome to have all of Links outfits from botw. And a recolor for Ruto as Mipha, and the Kings recolor from botw for king Daphnes. Ganondorf should have had a new outfit too.
I wish the ocarina of time stuff didn’t look like it was ripped right from the 3DS. The new stuff for DE is cool though. I only played the Wii U version so it’s neat seeing some extra costumes and colors got added.
It first appeared in the Wii U original version of this game. There are videos that go into what the costumes in this game are based on, including this, but the initial costume is original.
Hilda is her Master Quest outfit which already existed before they added the Lorule map so I suppose it wasn't really an opportunity. Then again her "Hilda" outfit doesn't look that authentic because it's just a repaint job.
@@KingX 5 years late, but one of the issues is that Zelda's Master Quest outfit has Hyrule's Triforce on its design rather than Lorule's inverted Triforce, thus making it not a perfect Hilda costume. Minor nitpick, but still an issue with calling the outfit a proper Hilda outfit.
I used the bottom left square of Master Quest staying in Focus Spirit with an EXP+ weapon and XP Accelerator potion. I’d have a low-level second unit to switch to after beating the final captain so they could die and let me restart the level keeping my gained EXP and the potion in effect. The EXP is nerfed since Wii U but still decent and Young Link can get to LV 255 in about 2.5 hours that way. Hard divisive missions letting the final captain kill you can also be effective.
Curious question and I'm planning on getting the game for myself as well real soon: Are all of the skins available for link already unlocked or do you have to unlock some of them? Cuz I want to get the Twilight princess skin for him!
There's this resource for outfit unlocks: www.nintendolife.com/guides/guide-hyrule-warriors-definitive-edition-how-to-unlock-all-costumes If I remember correctly it has some errors because some are how they unlock in Legends but were subsequently changed. According to that you need to beat the "F4" mission on the Twilight adventure map.
I'm a little curious, what would all the cutscenes look like if Certain characters had different costumes? We could have a Ocarina of time 3 or sequel to the other Zelda games. Surprised that Marin came back to be honest.
I'm just hopping into Hyrule Warriors. Were the outfits used as DLC not carried over to the definite addition on switch? The switch title diesnt seem to really have any of those or any info on how to get them. I'm confused and really want the Kokiri Tunic
Maybe watch the video or at least skim it properly before asking this stuff? The Kokiri Tunic and over 40 minutes of other outfits are in it. See 0:51. They just changed the methods of obtaining some outfits. You could have a look at this page for specific outfit locations but it had some errors when I checked because it was based on _Hyrule Warriors Legends_ which has some differences: www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/05/guide_hyrule_warriors_definitive_edition_-_how_to_unlock_all_costumes There was a really useful video on here that did a better job but I can't find it now in spite of knowing the channel it was on.
Ah yes, sorry I’m in London which isn’t very renowned for thunderstorms so it’s easy to not consider. Nevertheless I’m sure you could deduce that as a 40+ minute video it has plenty of costumes. In a nutshell it has all costumes plus a _Breath of the Wild_ one for Link and Zelda.
@@KingX I really do appreciate it man. Nobody has put out much info to help so I'm looking forward to the grind now that I'll know where everything is. Thanks for putting time into this video I'll be sure to jump into it tonight when I'm out of work
At first I was about to say that you forgot the great fairy, but then I remembered that the great fairy is technically just a weapon of links and not her own character.
Adventure mode spamming pretty much. Specifics are debatable, some say you need to do squares from the maps you unlocked them on (for adventure mode characters), others say it's even more strict and needs to be within the same colour zones as you unlocked them on. Personally I got my last 2 pretty easily on the first map.
They should all unlock on the first adventure map because in the original default game prior to any DLC there was only that map. In the Wii U version all characters not unlocked by Legend progression were gotten from that first adventure map. I don't recall getting either of those on a later map in this version.
You don't need to "get" it in the Definitive Edition: www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/06/guide_hyrule_warriors_definitive_edition_-_how_to_play_as_breath_of_the_wild_link_and_zelda
Too bad they added so much ugly color variations and not more outfits/skins from previous games for example: Link: magic armor from TP, or any of the costume sets of BOTW Darunia: Darmani skin or Daruk skin Ruto: Rutela skin or Mipha skin Skull kid: Maskless or TP Skull Kid Ravio: Maskless
MrSunshine those color variations definitely work, not ugly at all. Did you fail art class? I do agree with adding more armor sets/skins from the series though.
I've been doing an art piece on Ruto's alt outfits (mainly to test out how to do palette swaps and the like) so I've been looking at her model for a while and why does her great sea outfit have such a clean neat cut right around her butthole? That's the kind of thing I'd wear if I knew I was going to be topped, very weird choice for a design here, even in a T rated game.
