lets keep it a buck bro they about to delay it again and then right before it releases they gonna announce its gonna get cancelled im praying on the downfall
I feel like they're doing really well at giving good and important information about the game without revealing exciting information about the actual storyline and stuff
@@dinoeebastian See, you say that, but I see a game like battlebit, which is made by one developer, in very similar graphics style, it took him maybe 3 years to finish the game? Now granted, its an FPS not an RPG, but the only difference is combat and utility systems, gameplay wise at least. Everything else is just items, (which split between 40 people should be easy) and quests, which is same deal as items. Progression is similar as you can probably do all that a lot faster with 40 people.
They made it sound like they were recording the testing sessions and watching remotely, which makes me wonder if they're going to hold onto said recordings. I really hope that they tuck them away to show us after the game releases! It would be really cool to see that peek into the development cycle once the game is out.
@@MarianzYT they've showed recording testing sessions already, there is a lot of random videos from older blog posts. They may probably show it later this year.
@@kweebec So awesome to see you reply, especially since we tend to share a lot of opinions on the game! I 100% agree with you here, they seem so disappointed that they can't share more of the development cycle right now. Would be a good way to find closure for that feeling
You should make a summary of all that has happened from start (Trailer) to Hytale's beta so we get to know what monsters, creatures and animals that have been introduced, that would help a lot!
With them redeveloping the engine into C++ I wonder if this gave developers a chance to add things they couldn't priorly add due to limitations of the prior engine.
the biggest thing I'm crossing my fingers for is advanced shader support similar to Minecraft. shaders have increased the longevity of Minecraft MASSIVELY and allowed the game to scale very well graphically far beyond its era
I'm a little worried about this change. They were originally coding the server-side stuff in Java to be plugin/modding friendly. You wouldn't run a server off a console anyways so I'm a little confused by this. Are they no longer interested in supporting plugins? It would be extremely ironic and a case of "pulling the ladder up behind you" considering Hypixel only exists in the first place due to the fact Minecraft's server code could be decompiled and adapted by the community. I'm really just crossing my fingers here they will at least make the server open source or have an API for server operators.
I think the story of playtesters that tried to escape the test really shows that they want to encourage experimenting in this game. Even to the devs, we might get a really weird gamemode in the future that is extremely experimental and fresh.
@@AubDenashi Or the "Floor is Lava" type game modes. or King of the hill with capture points. But this is also why soo many people are worried about the game on launch, it has a massive expectation and if it fails to live up to that, not all of the community will wait around, which inevitably hurts the game overall.
I feel like Hytale if it actually comes out, will be dropping at a pretty great time to capture some of the mincraft audience as it seems development for it has stagnated and slowed tremendously. After the Nether, villagers, potions and enchanting, which I vaguely remember were years ago, what has been added since? A new biome and enemy?
While I can't say mojang has speed up the developement (yes they are still slow as fu) they updated caves, worldgen and brought a new boss :D and ofc other less interesting stuff... Maybe u should check that out... ofc, nothing is at Hytale's level but they did a big upgrade after 1.18 (Finally)
This may have not been the most exciting blogpost ever after a 12 months of waiting for a new one, but it still had some rather interesting things for sure and development sounds to be going promisingly well. Some interesting things I noticed: The two playtesters getting out of bounds is actually a lot more of a fascinating event than one may think, because the fact it required a coordinated effort likely means that Hytale's current sandbox has an impressive amount of depth, as the solution here could not have been as simple as building up, parkouring or applying a movement buff, but instead may have involved multiple spells being cast at once or faster than one person could do alone and/or required a series of precise inputs to get the desired effect, hence the tension on the Hypixel Studios team's part and the in-game communication requirement. We had heard of magic having effects besides combat, but I think this may be the first instance of something involving it being sandboxy enough to have the good kind of unforeseen effects. The most likely Scarak structure not only has some less organic parts, which may either be a hint of these bugs being more technologically advanced than we have seen so far or an instance of them having taken over an old structure from another faction (whoever would have built the zigurat from one of the old concept art pieces). Either way, the structure also features a network or pipes above the presumed doorway, which introduces a color completely foreign to the Scarak: Purple, the color of the void. Me thinks Varyn may have a hand in rendering the Scaraks hostile or at least he might be connected to this faction at all. The Outlanders art piece shows what I think to be a design update for the faction, since these fellows are now actually well dressed for the freezing climate of their home zone and all have purple eye glows rather than the acid green, that has so far been common for Varyn and his creations like the Void Eye. Then again, purple is still the color of the void, so I doubt this is a hint at their allegiance not being a thing and more just a means of differentiating cultists from actual monsters. Plus, I am fairly certain that chains weren't such a distinctive visual identifier for the Outlanders before. Also, the scene features waste high snow and even the Outlanders seeming to struggle against the snowstorm. Guessing this is more evidence for weather being much more than just cosmetic and snow potentially being able to stack high enough naturally to impede movement. Get ready for a round of shoveling your paths clear, anyone who wants to set up shop in the snowy areas of Orbis. Finally, the Ferans. The masks are not super interesting implications wise, probably being a reflection of the wearer's rank and general profession or societal role, given how they look to be made from skulls of gradually older animals with ever increasing amounts of engravings on them, only the final one being decorated with additional ornaments, and the top row looks a lot less agressive than the bottom one. The final picture of the post however, man I got chills when I saw that for the first time. Considering how absurdly well covered up the cold climate Feran is, nothing changed about them being primarily suited for extremely hot climates, especially if they even have to wrap up less temparature sensitive parts like the tail. Frankly, I am amazed they don't have some form of goggles to complete a relative hermetic seal against the outside world. Speaking of the facial area though, this winter voyager's mask is interesting to take note of, as unlike the ones worn by their desert dwelling species members, this thing doesn't appear to be just the facial area of an animal skull. Instead, those eye holes seem to be carved into whatever material it is made of (most-likely still bone due to tradition, but it could also be wood). As this is a notable deviation in the apparently identity defining part of a Feran's dress code, I wouldn't be surprised if the factions of Orbis turn out to actually have some intra faction dynamics and minor conflicts. Speaking of which, this one also doesn't seem to be wearing the traditional Feran "freedom bracers", only what I would guess to be woolen allusions to them as part of the outfit design on the wrists and ankles. The general idea of letting the factions exist beyond their home zones is certainly something. It will have the effect of making Orbis feel more unified rather than sectioned off into the different zones, but at the same time I wonder how the story balance and pacing of introducing and working with all the different factions throughout the adventure mode will work. Previously, it looked like there was always a rule of one good guy and one bad guy faction per zone. Kweebecs and Trorks for Zone 1, Ferans and Scaraks for Zone 2, Fauns and Outlanders for Zone 3, etc. So just with this system being turned from hard to soft (I'm still expecting this to be the "home zone" distribution for the various factions), the implications for what new possibilities the game design will have to account for are quite major. It's worth noting that I could also be reading way too far into these information tidbits, so don't let these thoughts of one random commenter swing your expectations beyond the realm of reason.
I see a new video from you, I'm reminded Hytale existed, some part of me rapidly ages into dust. Man, 2018 was ages ago. Good to see they're making major progress and reveals!
Dude, when i tell you when i saw the post i screamed to my friend by audio. It was a guteral scream, out of this world it seemed. Then i saw a few fanarts and started to cry.
Getting a game that is focused on a genuinely good and well made game compared to quick garbage that Barry functions and empty promises will always be amazing even if it takes a bit to get it
After watching this and the hytale podcast I have come to agree that there is a good chance we will get more significant news next month, or at least this year (thanks John!)
@@PRINTOROthe hype will skyrocket once they ACTUALLY get close to release and start marketing it. The world has been waiting for a game like this and seeing as they're taking the necessary precautions to not over promise and under deliver, marketing won't be a real problem. Hytale hype is currently niche, it hasn't been pushed into the mainstream yet.
It’s crazy how much progress they’ve made all things considered. The world generation systems look as or more robust as Minecraft, combat looks fun and interesting and far more advanced building tools than Minecraft while basically remaking the entire game from the ground up since they changed programming language during the 4 years that have passed since reveal trailer and expanded it substantially. They should take all the time they need to make a good game, they are going to compete with the largest game in history that has had over 10 years of support and updates and I do really hope that they’ll give Minecraft a proper competitor
This game is a very ambitious project, and its great that its potentially going into the direction of not just being pc only. As brought up when they mentioned separating themselves from java and going towards an engine that works on pc, console, phones etc. One thing I like about my phone is that I can play games or read or other stuff in any position or place, which will be nice to do so for hytale.
well, this is great news! ive been following kweebec corner since it appeared but after not having many "real" news from hytale i just forgot about it... but now this looks amazing
what people cant understand is that they dont want to reveal stuff until game is near or even launched, this blogpost is almost 1 year later and he made clear that dont want to show much about the new content, and the proof is lots of people actually thinking that there is at least 1% of chance that they give up the game and never launch, they said about new depth of lore but didn explained nothing, said about gameplay test outside developers but didn explained nothing, is just so hard to wait and chill? cyperpunk took more time than hytale and still was launched by greed of publishers or whoever was responsible for launch and everyone knows the result, if the game had some kick starter and people spend money I guess I could understand but RN I think they are just dumb and mad with no reason
@@OmegaGiven i mean it's being play tested internally and externally by companies contracted for it. you don't "get in" unless you're hired to, and you wouldn't be unless you've been doing it for a long time already LOL - best to just wait for next year's beta
When Hytale was first announced, the only game I played was Minecraft, so I had no idea what other games were like. Now that I've played so many other games, my excitement for this game is increasing, and I'm really looking forward to what news they bring in the future.
i mean it makes sense, if the game comes out in early access, even through it isn't done, if people have a negative experience it will cripple the hype, so i am completely fine waiting for a more finished game
Thanks for always keeping us up to date KweebecCorner! Its probably hard to organize all the bits and info's that hytale drop to put it all together in a video to give us the most relaxed and informative news about this game we all are so eager for :D
Hey Connor! At 7:42 you say they wanted to give substantial updates which I also vaguely remember them saying. But now I cant find where that quote was from. Did you save a source on that part?
Fingers crossed they will be supportive of ALL fans not just the kid fans. Allow fans to have servers with mature aspects such as guns, heck even having a server setting that defaults to "Mature", which would give joining players a short disclaimer pop up warning them of discretion *The following server may contain things not meant for ages 13 and below, player discretion is advised*. Thus covering Hypixel as a company, AND allowing fans to have freedom to build a server like their world. Made to be their own. Oh and of course not ban people for using swears, if anything they get server specific MUTES. *If server setting of MATURE LANGUAGE ALLOWED is true, they can join and be unmuted for that server*. Seriously if you swear in a PRIVATE server or single player, you should NOT be banned for it.
I’m excited to play this game, when it finally released, me with the help of my friends are gonna make my mod which is a single player story mode style but the universe will be entirely different.
as someone who has been waitin for Silksong sence it was announced in 2019, I get painfully waitin for a product. I hope ya'll get your game and that it lives up to the hype
I'm more excited on their combat system, using charging ability by different weapons that buff and nerf player stats is what exactly I'm looking forward not like in Minecraft that you just need to swing your sword charge your spear and bow.
Vintage Story was made, with love, by 2 people. It came out years ago, have been getting consistent and good updates since. This shit is being made by 100 people? I couldn`t understand... until I saw the picture. It all makes sense now.
My my. It's been years, man. I've been your channel for a while! I felt extremely hyped when I was watching your stuff and hytale blog post videos. Now I just feel really peaceful and relaxed. Finished highschool and now I'm focusing on entering the university.
This gives me great confidence in the game, they're prioritizing future proofing their game so that should it live to see 10 years it will likely still always have a good fundamental base. Most old games were never even intended to live as long as they have so their devs never bothered to implement a good base to allow expansion and most new games are meant to be dropped for the next in the series Hytale's devs, from what it seems, are focusing on making hytale a long term sustainable game, which is INCREDIBLY rare these days, too many people focus on the short term and as time goes on it gets harder and harder to add to the mess
What beginning testing means practically? It means some people are already playing a Alfa version... And it means that the beta is coming... It's happening, this isn't a training
next year probably yes. they're in the last, say, 20% of development now. and considering the outside support, combined with Riot's assistance, polishing and refining should go by smoothly enough. the game will be out in at most 2 years. with next year likely being betas, if they decide to do them
I can't wait for Hytale to come out. This is the first time I think I've been openly excited about a game, and I hope that I can make my own content in the world. I don't know if it's still a thing, but I remember the idea that players would be able to create their own mobs and items to use in the game, and I've got plenty of ideas already on what I could make in the world of Hytale.
This is only concept they have nothing to show for the amount of time they've been gone. Not even one screenshot or short clip of something it's just more talk about the game. I am hard convinced that they just started making the game after releasing the trailer. I don't want to listen to the devs about how great the game is I want to play the game.
Ad Astra? Kind of neat seeing an immediate Minecraft reference in the carved board. Though, knowing that it is a reference to an intergalactic MC mod makes me curious as to what Ad Astra is doing in regards to the Hytale community.
All this blog post did was remind me how far away this game still is 😭 This is my most anticipated game of like… all time at this point. It genuinely feels like when I was a kid watching RU-vid videos about Minecraft but not having a computer to play it, and then it finally came out on console and it was one of the best days of my childhood. The wait for Hytale feels like that, and I’m so thankful for all the RU-vid channels talking about the game to keep me hyped.
very cool how hytale is focusing on other aspects of the game instead of just the creative sandbox aspect. this is part of the frustration for me when it comes to mojang's modern direction with minecraft. yes, they have no obligation to to add or change things of they don't want to, its their game, and they'd rather focus on creativity, _i get it._ but its still disappointing because minecraft _is_ more than that. the community may not be a majority of redstoners, or a majority of PVPers, or a majority of survivalists, but that doesn't mean it would ever hurt minecraft to give more love and attention to those aspects of the game. And it stings all the more when Hytale seems to have a better grasp of making accessible but flexible and in-depth creative tools WHILE focusing on aspects like magic and combat. Minecraft development asks "Why?", Hytale development asks " Why not?", that's what I'm seeing at least. Ultimately we'll have to wait and see what its like when we have the game in our hands.
AND BEFORE YOU REPLY! Yes, mojang's direction with minecraft is verifiably focused on the game being more of a creative sandbox than a survival game. Kingbdogz had a long, now deleted twitter thread about the topic maybe a week ago in this month of june 2023 (though some of his replies have survived). its not even that hard to see when the last two major updates just added some mobs and a new wood type or two each.
The thing is, it isn't even much of a creative sandbox that Minecraft is going for. Sure, redstone is getting a notable amount of new toys as of late (with most of those being redundant or outright useless) and commands keep being more and more groundbreaking (display entities are nuts), but the actual sandbox sandbox of any of the other elements in the game interacting with one another is shockingly vacant. What you see in Minecraft is constant expansions to a builder's sandbox, that have the constantly failed goal of enriching standard survival gameplay. From everything we've seen, Hytale doesn't just beat it on the level of gameplay depth, it beats Minecraft on every single other level as well - besides simplicity.
@@remor698fr hytale is looking to be what minecraft could have been if the Dev's were more like Terraria (Terraria is way better than minecraft, but it's not 3d) Hytale is Terraria+minecraft and I like that
Your video popped up in my YT feed which is nice. Finally get to hear some news from Hytale after so long. Its good to know that this game is doing extremely well in development and people got a chance to enjoy the game. This game might actually defeat Minecraft once it comes out.
I'm so happy to see game devs putting effort into releasing a game feature complete. Modern gaming is sorely lacking in impressive releases that aren't buggy or broken or missing chunks of content.
It will certainly blow up when it comes out, given how popular and controversial minecraft is. How will the minecraft youtubers react I wonder, the people who were dedicated to the game for years, the people who are still pushing the limits and innovating and entertaining
My great, great grandparents used to tell me tales of such blog posts! I thought them myths or urban legend! I feel as though I'm lving in the age of dragons! How marvelous, how fantastcal! Oh, what a time to be alive! If only they could've lived to see the day... 🤭
so im just wondering if there will be a difference between what seems to be a "survival mode (the dungeoneering and what seems to be gathering and such)" and the floating and building side, i more excited for the "survival/harder" side of the game
This is the kind of thing I'd like to see Mojang do. Take time to improve the current game. Give people time away from updates and come back 1-3 years later with ■ Better framerate, ■ More efficient rendering, ■ Better lighting (doesn't have to have moving shadows), ■ Better inventory system (whatever that means to you. More slots, folders, whatever), ■ Interesting weather, ■ Adding variants to old structures (so you can get either the original, a new version or one that's a mix between), ■ Add new farming stuff. ■ Add the remaining biome vote updates, and a few of the mob vote ones. To those that say it isn't that easy, why? Give them time and no pressure, and I'm sure they would like to make the game run the best it ever has, and give at least some of what was perceived as promised, plus a few extra things fans have been asking for for years.
Not sure making folks wait 1-3 years a pop is great these days for updates alone.... Like I get that you Hytale fans are super strung along, but not everyone has the same level of patience and the same godlike, superman-like will to return to a game 1-3 years later for an update to drop.
@@dirge7459 Who said I wanted every update to take 3 years? I just want them to take as much time as they need to bring the game up to the modern day all at once instead of a few pieces every update like they have been.
@@dirge7459 My position is that I basically barely play the game anymore due to feeling like I can't get more exploration out of it, and don't always have inspiration to build. Hytale I forgot about years ago, but when I found this channel last month, it seemed like things could be moving along for it again. If the devs for Minecraft need more time due to the codes age or because of there being so much in the game now, then give them a chance to address whatever is holding them back instead of having them push those plans forward again and again because they have to prioritize a yearly update.
@@Jansenbaker That honestly sounds like what I have, and have had for some time, that being "creative burnout". I've been playing MC since the late Alpha/early beta days, and I went from playing it a ton, to playing it today for maybe an hr or two, before hopping onto some other game like DRG. This is normal though, and happens to all of us throughout our lives (especially as we get older). I don't expect MC to uphold my entertainment value for the entirety of my life, as I've already gotten far more than 1000hrs worth from just paying £13 back in the day (compared to most AAA game that straight up ask for £60-70 from me, and only give me less than 20hrs worth of content). I absolutely do believe they should focus on feature and performance parity, but outside of that, I feel like MC has run it's course, content wise. Most folks have been wanting new blocks, or blocks to be made more useful, instead of 10+ MC bosses or a huge PVP focus (MC at it's core is creative in nature, not hardcore PVP/souls-like boss fights that melt you down), and so far that's what we've been getting from Mojang (cosmetic-type content). It's not that MC's code is old, it's that Java is held together by rubber bands and duct tape, hence why MS moved things to bedrock, but Bedrock still doesn't support what Java does, and well... MS doesn't like Java, because they know we get: Free skins Free texture packs Free mods Free servers Generally, anything Bedrock provides, Java does, if not better and entirely for free, and MS ever since buying out Mojang, has wanted to make that 2.4 billion dollars back. This is why I'm not a fan of Riot games buying Hytale, because I know Riot operates under Tencent, and Tencent, like MS, desire to make their money back, which means there will be some form of monetisation or eventual monetisation systems added in as time goes on (like MS did with Minecraft Bedrock). The problem with yearly updates, is that you only really garner a small and dedicated community that are willing to wait for that update(even with little info to go on like the devs are currently rolling with). Most folks these days want their content asap, or drip fed to them in monthly increments. The only few games I know that are able to get away with long content periods, are indie games that are in early access like Project Zomboid, or 7 Days to die, but even both of those games have fostered small communities, not goliath ones like Minecraft/Fortnite/CSGo/LoL have.
I honestly hope that, once this game comes out and possibly succeeds, you are still alive and become a huge major channel for hytale content/community.
Im very very happy to hear about the game but I wish they'd have at least said what they were up to even if it wasn't anything but a "these past few months we've been hard at work recreating the engine"
I really hope that they make it on switch. I know it would be kinda laggy but if they meant what they said about being for everyone, then switch needs a port
