I think its a pretty cool mat aside of the RGB. The fact that is an XXL mouse mat is a huge plus for me.

Totally agree, because Razer's Goliathus Extended is relatively small as far as desk mats go. Could be super cool with other peripherals that screen mirror as well.

Just curious how the mat does when you close out the Nexus software. Does it default to some lighting effect, or can you set a default effect with the software and close it out to conserve system resources?

So it basically just stays however you had it last set. Like even if it was on screen mirror it just keeps whatever the last colors were.

Do you constantly have to run the software in the background just to keep the same color setting? I wanna be able to keep the rgb I prefer without running the software just so I don’t have too much “bloatware” running in the background while gaming.

No, when you exit out of the software fully, it just stays whatever it was set to.

@@PhazerOnest what I mean is the processing in the background. A lot of rgb softwares you can close out of it, but it still runs process in the background if you open task manager. Some softwares take up too much CPU, RAM usage..

It's comparable, the rgb is brighter than the Razer one and likely more durable since it's not a fiber optic type of thing stitched to the sides. Where Razer wins with their RGB stuff in my mind is the game integration and compatibility with other brands like nanoleaf. But solely as a stand-alone product, the Hyte pad is probably a bit nicer.
