I have this in white with the leather seats and the performance pack version - absolutely unbelievably amazing. The biggest shock was the fact that I only paid £24k for a showroom model with 1000 miles on it. Just absolutely incredible.
Oh man that is a great price! But on the flip side shows that demand has not been great for them. Hopefully that is fixed with the new facelift and DCT!
Well done mate, I'm an owner from Hyundai i30n owners club uk, and your video is good and honest about the car, we're lucky enough in the uk that we get luxury pack as standard in uk with winter pack, I've had the car around 3 months now and I absolutely love it.

As a very happy owner of a Hyundai i30N hatch in ‘Engine Red’,I cannot recommend highly enough to people how insane this car is.The new King of hot hatches.

Just on the interior,I can see where Hyundai spent most of their development and that was with the ‘oily’ bits,highlighted by that rasping exhaust,the adaptive dampers,and their in-house brakes that do a superb job even after numerous heavy stops.And did I forget about the limited slip differential that does an outstanding job,especially when planting the foot down into a corner.And the interior areas that get virtually no contact are the harder plastics,which I for one can live with.I highly recommend getting the ‘Luxury Pack’ which gives you the leather/alcantara seats,proximity key,folding side mirrors etc which spruces up the interior from a stock i30.And I cannot wait for the next generation i30N which will no doubt be better.
One of the reviews I've watched before buying this car and man, its sooo good. I have like 50 kilometers to my workplace and this car changed my every day drive from "damn, I have go there again -.-" to "hell yeah I'm gonna have so much fun!". Of course the moment I bought a car I really love I immediately had a crash... (some idiot in front of me shifted into reverse instead on 1st gear in traffic jam)
I got mine in blue, with performance pack, comfort pack, nav pack and panoramic sunroof :D, the two tone color is awesome, bought it new 08.2020. For 30k Euros. Loving every second driving it. Awesome review, love the enthusiasm you have. Keep it up!
I'm toying with the idea of i30 Fastback N but will wait for the Facelift, DCT and hopefully they iron out some of the recurring issues I've read about. Also I'm pretty sure the rear strut brace is removable by removing 4 bolts.
@@CarSauce I think White and Micron Grey look great on the Fastback but the Grey is probably a little dark safety and cleaning wise. I have a white car now so for a change I might go with the Performance Blue, unless they bring out another colour with the Facelift.
It's a great car! I would rather have the i30n because it has more standard equipment, love the colours available, and sounds incredible. But the Golf is iconic! Tough choice 😉
Nice review. I've got an I30N hatch in white (bought in the UK January 2020). My only complaint would be that I personally think the steering (even in normal mode) is a tad too heavy at slow speeds. Combine that with the rack limiter (because of the large wheels / tyres) and it does give it a turning circle of a small oil tanker. I can accept the harsh plastics in the cabin (basically stuck with what comes in the stock I30). But while being a fan of a "proper" manual handbrake... can't remember the last car that I bought where it wasn't leather covered (yes... being picky I know). I see that you love the steering wheel. While nice, I find the leather used a bit slippy, though it should (like leather usually does) soften up with time. I much preferred the steering wheel in my previous car (mk 3.5 Focus ST). Can't fault the performance / handling though and value for money overall package. Other than this, I think the car is a great buy.
Thanks for the insightful comment! The steering wheel on Hyundai's in general is actually incredibly soft, see my Veloster Turbo review too, which is not necessarily a good thing (vs VW and even Kia who have usually much tighter, harder leather)! Definitely agree with turning circle, from memory it was over 12m which is entirely ridiculous! What do you love most about your i30n?
@@CarSauce "what do I like most" ... Good blend of usable performance / handling without being over the top. Some cars I've owned have been far more powerful. But away from a track day, no way to fully exploit them on a public road without fear of loosing your license. Lots of nice cars out there at the moment but I think the I30N is probably the best overall package taking everything into account (IE. Price/performance/handling/warranty/kit level etc.) in its class. And then there's that exhaust. If that doesn't make you smile, then it's time to give up driving. And that's coming from someone who turns 65 this November 😀
I love Hyundai’s N cars, but the one I really love is the I30N Sportback. Unfortunately I live in the US where it isn't available. I would gladly trade our Veloster N for this one. Not sure about the Elantra N yet.
I was talking about a physical button, but there is because you just press the Star button and you can set it as home! It's more it being annoying when your in Android auto for example 😊
Yeah but no physical button :( It's an issue when your in Android auto for example and the home button disappears! To be fair, you can program the Star button to be the home button I realised after editing the video! 😊
@@CarSauce Ah right, physical. Have to agree there. I've programmed my star to display the clock for nighttime driving to dim the light a bit in the cabin. Excellent review by the way and you have another subscriber!
