The firmware on my Ioniq 38 (widescreen) was well out of date, so your video on updating it was of interest to me. I visited the Ioniq Forum and downloaded the very latest version for the EV. The installation went well, but I have an issue that is bugging me. I cannot change the option to have distances measured from kilometres to miles. I have gone through the settings on the dashboard and I cannot select miles as the preferred measurement of distance. Have you encountered this problem or have I installed a version that does not allow the use of miles? Has anyone else found that they cannot set miles as their preferred option? EDIT: It looks like the distance unit cannot be changed from the steering wheel controls. I also couldn't find the setting in the Navigation options, well, that was until I searched for the word 'miles' and the result directed me to the exact area I needed to make the change. So, for anyone in the UK (or anyone travelling in the UK) who wants to update their firmware and set the unit of distance to miles, that's how I did it. Overall, I like the update to the really old version that was installed in my car. The charging stations appear to be up-to-date and a manual search for locations isn't necessary. The radio features are much better and I will test out the Apple CarPlay soon.

One criticism; you skipped past the part where you inserted the USB ans selected the options when it scans your disk. I assumed there would be a USB port on the entertainment screen itself, as opposed to using the one below it. There are also three options when you insert then USB and I didn't know which is which.

have you done a video on setting default screen to split screen, as my Ioniq always defaults to screen saver after update 13/10/21. Thanks for all videos

So I have a really old version from 2 years ago and there's multiple updates since then, can I just install the newest update, or do I have to go and download and install all of the past updates as well?

After I updated my 2021 Kona EV, when I try to rest my infotainment by using "Reset All". The old set up still remain. Ex. The "user 1" still here even though i press yes to reset all. Anyone have any idea?

Dealership won’t help you with an update. I bought a 2022 Santa Cruz. 1 week after I bought it, I found there was a problem with the CarPlay and found the softwear was out of date. I took it back to the Hyundai dealership and was told it’s up to me to update. Really? You sold me an out of date vehicle with CarPlay that wont work without an update. I would have paid to have them do the update to get CarPlay to work. Bottom line, check your firmwear/softwear before you buy and tell them to update before you sign the papers. Shame on you Hyundai for not making your dealers do this ANYTIME an update is needed. Even for a price, it should be something that Hyundai would do to get repeat business.
