I've been informed that new split home screen, sounds of nature and radio were actually updated back in an January update. This December update introduced the new EV mode, Android Auto and extra sounds of nature. Due to this Ioniq not having that last update, I mistakenly thought it was all introduced in this latest Dec 2022 update.

Did my update on my 21 plate 38 at the weekend and it was pretty straight forward. It was nice being able to do it without a visit to the dealers. Overall I like it.

Did my ioniq 38kwh a couple of days ago. Certainly like the changes so far, not seen the sounds of nature yet.

Thanks for the info. Mu update took 30 mins so not too bad. I quite like the new Radio screen, it looks ok I think and the tubes look really good in my opinion.

We did our Kona ev the other day. There's a trickle down effect. Some of the things new to you we had before and some of the things new to us come from the ionic 5. We tried the inbuilt navigation today instead of android auto. Previously we found it taking us down too many single track roads. Today it did as well or better than I'd have expected android auto to do. Here's hoping as the presentation of the inbuilt satnav is really nice and we want to use it for it's newly hoped for reliable routing.

Now this is where I start to get anxious...had exactly this car since September and I'm sort of getting used to the infotainment system although I can't use the screen while driving. I'm a more than competent driver but less competent with unfamiliar tech.

I have a question just to be clear. So with the new update when you're using Android auto, you dont get full screen still? Like for example I cant view Google maps on the whole screen? Asking because Im not a fan of the half screen access for the android phones

Hi, slightly off topic, but do you know if there's a lithium ion 12v battery option for my 2020 Ioniq 38kW? The original battery must be nearly at the end of its useful life as I've noticed it's being charged by the HV battery more often than previously.... cheers!

Thank you. Didn t know there were an update. Hyundai says it s for all evs. I download it. I don t know if the screen will change in my 28. I hope.

Matt, how did you get Android auto to show Android media and Android navigation in the two sections? After the last update my 2020 38kwh Ioniq still shows Android auto in one area, and the split screen options in the other (compass, clock, etc). Would love to get Android media in the smaller split screen section.

I have downloaded the update as you explained. Before I go ahead how much battery power will it use and will it stay powered on while it’s updating or do I have to sit in the car fiddling with things to keep the power on. Thanks. Just got the ionic and am a newbie to EVs

Does anyone know if the 2020 IONIQ, makes it easy to know what the ''state of health'' is of the main battery/motor? in other words how much permanant loss of range is occuring over time
