News update 24/09/2020 - Fix for Critical Android Auto Bug Caused by Android 11 Update; further investigation of the issue, we want to confirm if you have the Screen Saver settings enabled on the device. If yes, try turning screensaver off in Settings > Display > Advanced > Screen saver. Then ‘When to start’ should be set to ‘Never’. Please inform whether disabling it fixes the problem with placing outbound calls,” a member of the Android Auto team said a few hours ago. Several users have already confirmed that disabling the screensaver on their devices restores phone calls on Android Auto after the Android 11 update, so it’s now just a matter of time until Google comes up with a full fix for everybody.
I had the same problem. I did a factory reset on the head unit and then I had to reconnect my Hyundai account with the Hyundai bluelink on the unit. After that Android auto worked again
Why android auto does not work full screen like apple carplay? This is extremely annoying and unfortunate that android users dont have the same privilege. Does my Hyundai need a control unit update or something to make it full screen? Please let me know what I can do regarding this. Thank you.
Sadly it's a Hyundai problem from a lack of Android Auto widescreen support as well so it's the same issue across all of their infotainment systems (upto 2020 I believe). There was a discussion about this back in Jan 2020 for people to write and complain to Hyundai to change this, but nothing has happened. It is sad when you plug in an iPhone and get to see the whole screen using Carplay.
Sound is better than I expected it to be and includes a base box which I found unusual. Speakers - Infinity Sound System - 1 Centre, 2 Tweeters, 2 Front, 2 Rear, 1 Subwoofer and 1 Ext Amp
@@EclipseReviews Thank you for the info! I know the limited model has the Harmon Kardon set up to replace the premium package infinity came with. I didn’t realize that infinity was the standard in the blue model.
