I have the regular Ioniq 5 with dual motors and it's plenty quick. It also handles fairly well with the weight down low, or maybe I should say predictably. I came out of a clover leaf (no traffic) pretty fast and the car started to slide as I exited and I felt completely comfortable with it as I stayed on the accelerator and let it do it's thing. So I can't imagine how fun an N version would be. I don't care for all the fake sounds and shifting, but it's neat that they did such a good job with it.
Awesome video. $100k not bad for a race car lile that. Elantra N TC race car is about $100k in the US. Love how much Tim knows about the details like the AP brakes.
The video shows that a Porsche GT3 RS can complete one lap of the Inje Speed Circuit in 1 minute and 46 seconds. In comparison, an Ioniq 5 N eN1 can complete one lap in 1 minute and 37 seconds, and can potentially complete around 13 to 14 laps on a single charge. This highlights the significant performance difference between the two vehicles.
I'd love to see the mountain pass perf folks get ahold of one of these. Funny a stock full weight model Y perf at half the price is about the same weight&nearly the same power-weight as this is. 😀
Giving an average person with no real performance driving a experience a vehicle that have a lot of power is asking for the public to kill them selves. Still say EV is a waste of time harm the environment more than gas vehicles the stuff you need to build one the cost it takes to up keep the updates that may ruin your car.. not practical
