Of course it seems like it takes a long time to warm up, at least to a Canadian who may sometimes drive the car at -20 C. But with heated seats and steering wheel, the car will be comfortable long before the cabin air reaches a typical indoor temperature. When it's -20 C outside, +5 C in the car feel very warm!

Although the issue of heating the car will never be an issue here in Australia (cooling is our difficulty) I am enjoying learning about EV's and the problems the car owner may have to resolve. Thank you so much for your practical approach to the 'real' life of owning a remarkable like the Kona.

Too many things I would have done different for this test. Make sure the Defrost AC mode isn't on so it isn't fighting itself for heat. Make sure it is the full cabin and not just driver(from the beginning). Turn on the recirculate to not allow cold outside air in. Set the temperature to a reasonable temperature like 22 degrees. And maybe use Auto because that is designed to heat the most efficiently.This is a test I would be interested to see.

Do press button frond heat in the ioniq i directly get over 6kW and you only 4kW.

Hello! It's sooo looong ! Eco or comfort mode? Recycled air on? Air conditioning on ? (Dry air is easyer to warm up)

Hello. Comfort Mode, but Drive Mode doesn't matter. I changed the settngs that Heating has the same power in all Modes. No Recycled air.AC off. But again, like said in the video: I had drive only on in the first half.

I would wait a bit to find out more detail on the I.D. The Kona and Niro are both great - mostly depends on the size you prefer. If you don't need I.D's form factor, the model 3 standard will be a better vehicle (on the road by the time the I.D is).
