A big second on Ida Mays guide to childbirth!!! It was so encouraging! I did a homebirth and I had the same where people didn’t believe I could do it. So proud of you momma! You’re doing so good, and you really are the best thing your baby needs. Praying he lets you get some sleep soon!!

The love of your own child is the best. Things you would say ewww to before, is ok now that it’s your own. You look so bright and beaming and love to hear how you love him so. You experience that with your children. But I have been experiencing that renewal of love for all my grandchildren. Congrats Carson. Would love to hear what day he was born!!🎉

Congrats on the new addition!!! The grunting is so adorable and brought back memories of my daughter when she was a newborn. She was a LOUD sleeper 😂 my daughter is now almost 4 and it flies by! You’ll be amazed at how your body adapts to no sleep or their ever changing routine. It’s surreal seeing how much they grow and develop just within a year ❤ it’s super tough in the beginning but it does get better i promise! The amount of love and joy that comes from being a parent is compared to no other feeling. You’re doing great!!

Don't feel the need to apologize to us for needing to take breaks or cut the video short. You owe us nothing. Besides I bet most of your viewership are also parents. I love what you said about motherhood coming naturally to you even though you didn't expect for it to. That's kind of how it was for me when I had my kiddo. I was never the type of little girl to play with baby dolls or play house. In fact I always said I would never have kids and just wanted to be a dog mom forever. But when I was 21 I unexpectedly got pregnant and even though I was a single mother, it was the single best thing that has ever happened to me. It's wild to experience that explosion of love for another human being in a way that simply doesn't happen outside of parenthood. Especially when you've grown that perfect creature inside of your womb. Nothing compares. Anyway, so glad to have you back. Your warm smile always adds to my day. And don't worry, those sleepless nights won't last forever. Happy New Year to the three of you. Much love - Loren :)

Congratulations on your bundle of joy!! 💙 It's amazing how that mother's intuition kicks in! I remember that when I had my first - I had no experience with kids, but it just came to me after she was born!

My grandma gave birth to my uncle in 45 minutes flat. One of the nurses timing her was an assistent new nurse, and the other ones didn't believe her times! XD They were lucky they were so close to the hospital.

Congrats! I'm due with #4 in June and I still say 0-1 was the hardest transition. I remember trying to nurse a pillow before he slept through the night 😂Dont feel like you need to be quiet around him! My 3rd slept best in the middle of chaos. If you haven't looked into sleep schedules, I usually start around 6 weeks but it sounds like you're working on it ❤Give yourself grace and know that you grow in capacity as he grows. And just enjoy, the days are long but the years go by in a flash! Also, our Lumme is gorgeous, I have had a Koivua on pause for a long time and I am really considering frogging and reusing for a Lumme...

Ou I recently finished knitting the adult-sized moby sweater. It was a really fun knit! The beginning was the most challenging but once the yoke is done it's very intuitive :)

Congratulations! Wilder, welcome to the world and congratulations with your parents 😊 So good to see you. And what a great birth story. In the Netherlands is normal to do labor without medication and… doing the birth at home (I did with my first child) and breastfeed. Totally relate to, he is ours, we can keep him, he is ours forever. Wish you lots and lots of good memories (writing it down is good idea because you are going to forget). Hope your nights will be better soon! Good luck for the moment, this will pass.
