Love those modified flower socks ! And yes to slowing down in summer if we feel like it (: time spent knitting doesn’t make us more or less of a knitter ☺️

I definitely don't have the drive to knit as much in the summer as I do the rest of the year! Also, those sunflower socks are so flipping cute! And I love the colors you went with.

I’m glad to know it’s not just me! It’s so hard to knit all the time when there’s so much to do outside now. And thank ya :)

17:36 hahahaha “ok I’ll love you so I’ll do it” 😬 😬 relatable!

I’m convinced the sweater curse extends to husbands 😂 except instead of breaking up, the entire sweater is just cursed & will never ever get done. But if it does, it’ll never fit 😜

You may have already mentioned it but you should talk about how you got into knitting, how you learned, etc. in your knit and chat! Maybe how your knitting/crafting has evolved? I think that’d be interesting! I always like to hear how people got into their hobbies. Idk, just some ideas!

Second this! I’ve had the same thought about it being ok to enjoy a hobby and not do it 24/7. Could be nice topic to expand on

I'm the same way when it comes to pausing on projects when it's time for the next step 😂Idk why but it's like I have to mentally prepare myself for it haha. Those project bags are so cute!!!

Right? Doing the next thing just feels to like too much for some reason 😵‍💫 and they’re sooo so cute and well made!

Sooo excited about how many prizes we have for the makealong now! I have another digital pattern copy.. gotta find where that ended up in my messages lol. And your yellow lacy top is just so cute! Looking forward to seeing it with overalls. You pull them off so well!

I pause right before I’m done with a pattern so I keep it current I don’t want to finish it so I start new project. When I run out of needles and cords I finish a bunch of things at once. Its rather silly my husband probably thinks. He is an engineer so it one project through then on to another all with strict deadlines towards their finish dates. They all have segmented complete portion dates along its Developmental phase . I live in Texas too. Heavy wool is my excuse too, lo, its totally justified, right. Its hot but not as 😅😩hot as its gonna get. 🫠I’m north of Dallas. My lys is in McKinney Knits-🧶and feel very blessed that once in a while I can go feel the yarn. And find alternatives to what I was looking for. I’m about a half hour from there. I don’t think Im alone in this but we all got used to shopping on line.

Haha I love that, then ya never run out of things to work on! And they’ll all get finished eventually :) Having a LYS store close by is sooo so nice. I definitely prefer going in person and touching all the yarn before buying it!

The huge underarm situation is a problem a lot of people have with Caitlin's patterns! I have an almost finished Halu I was making as a gift - it has been in the naughty corner since January for the same reason. Think I'm just gonna have to frog it and try doing the lace yoke at a tighter gauge.
@annabelle7123
@annabelle7123 Год назад
Maybe she could turn it into a vest and just rip out the arms..?
@amayabronagh
@amayabronagh Год назад
@@annabelle7123 I think it's a circular yoke, so that would make it more like a t-shirt?
@carsleehandmade
@carsleehandmade Год назад
Oof - that’s tough. I also recently heard circular yokes in general tend to have big under arms. I guess the only other one I made myself fit like a glove so I never questioned it 😂 I hope yours works out!!

I’ve been getting ads for what I assume is the same nursing cover! 😂 I would love to make one as well but have never made a cowl so I’m not sure where to start. I’m also curious what stitch they used bc I like how breathable it looks but at the same time it has good coverage!

are there patterns you avoid? I stay away from patterns with charts...that's not good, I just need to learn how to read them! I live is warm weather! Southern California is always great weather year round so I tend to knit light sweaters and socks mostly. I would love to hear about what types of patterns you wear the most?

Oooh I love this question! Shall definitely answer in a knit & chat :)
